The Opening Of Lounge2

Posted on December 22, 2007December 23, 2007 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on The Opening Of Lounge2

Thanks to Deejay for letting us know that Lounge2 is opening yesterday. It’s from 5pm-8pm. It was only for invited guests. In fact, we were supposed to tell them that he’s the one that asked us go but Jimmy knows the boss, Jack πŸ˜› It’s the same owner as Terminal One or the previous Mermaid and Dolphin.

By the way, I have to stress that I’m not the kind that hang out at pub, bar or club. I hate these places to bits. I went to this opening for the sake of my blog as not many bloggers were going, you can count with less than 5 fingers πŸ˜› hahaha… Besides, it’s still new so the air is fresher though people smoked, they have suction fans installed but still too small and too few. Sigh… At least at the end of the night, I didn’t smell much like a walking cigarette but still a bit of smell.

You can’t see it clearly from the roadside, it will be very obvious when night falls. Everything you see in there are marked with “Lounge2”. -.- So kiasu!

Left: The section where we sat. At the Christmas tree.
Right: I like the cabinet. Simple and nice.

Left: The bar section.
Right: Wine, wine, wine.

Another section with the water curtain. Water as in real water!

The bar again.

Even the toilet is also marked with Lounge2 on the mirror(middle picture). See the hands? My hand and Gladiezz. Hehehe… It shares a sink hehehe… Don’t worry, you can’t the the person next door when you do your business.

Sorry… Can’t help to show you the food. The catering was done by Secret Garden. OH MY! I was damn hungry -.-

Mussels! My first time eating fresh one. Surprise, surprise πŸ˜› The food was nice, not bad except the spaghetti.

We were offered beer or Coke, we had Coke of course as we need to go to Blessed Church Chirstmas Night After that. I won’t choose beer also even if I’m not going to the Christmas Night as I don’t drink.

Last but not least, group photos! πŸ˜›

Left: Gladiezz, me, Jimmy.
Right: Me, Jack(the owner) , Gladiezz.

Where’s the place?
It’s at Height Drive, Stutong. The new shops area. Here’s the address:
Lot 441 & 443, Heights Drive Commercial Centre, Jalan Stutong, 93350 Kuching, Sarawak
If you need more details on the location or any inquiry, do call Roderic @ 016-877 8667

By the way, they didn’t pay us to write this. How good if they do pay us. πŸ˜›

From Woodlands To Burswood

Posted on December 21, 2007December 21, 2007 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on From Woodlands To Burswood

We went woods hopping two nights ago hahaha… Actually some blogger friends suggested we go to Popwave to sing karaoke but it’s fully booked! Also some complaint that it’s expensive. So ended up at Woodlands.

(my photo is lousy hahaha…)
Reached Woodlands at Ban Hock Road at 7pm+, Gladiezz, Angel and Pazuzu were there already. It was empty, only us. That’s our main reason to go there early because when you don’t have a room and need to sing in public, you have to wait for your turn. They will rotate from table to table. This means, if there are many tables, you have to waste a lot of time to wait for your turn. They had even ordered drinks. I ordered too. Sigh.. wasted RM5 because we later found out that they only started karaoke at 9pm! *CUSS* Wasting our time picking the songs and wasting money ordering drinks.

(So blur -.- Super lousy.)
We left and went to Burswood next to Crown Square. We quickly settled down and choose our songs. I’m really bad at singing, I only know chorus part only for almost all of the songs -.-. I’ve not been singing for more than 10 years already. I’m really rusty now. Those pitches that I used to be able to reach are now unreachable. I don’t sing in public or perform on stage in these 10 over years but just simply sing along with the radio when driving or just hum hum to myself.

I didn’t order any drink here because it’s not worth it, any non-alcoholic drink costs RM9 per glass. Summore I don’t drink beer so I didn’t drink anything but still OK as I did order drink and drank it already at Woodlands. I could still stand it.

So we sang, sang, sang until later more and more people came, we had to wait for almost 1 hour for our turn! πŸ™ I managed to sing some songs and duet with Jimmy and Pazuzu. The microphone acted up when I sang the last song with Pazuzu. BOOOOooooOo~

That’s the problem when you don’t want to rent a room, what to do? Popwave is fully booked and all other places don’t provide room. When there are many people, you won’t have chance to sing at all! So I left at around 10.45pm. No point to wait anymore I had sang all the songs I wanted and there isn’t much choice there also. I’m not sure whether Galdiezz, Tim and his gang manage to sing any or not as Tim came quite late and Gladiezz didn’t manage to sing earlier as she was busy choosing her songs.

NO MORE! Don’t ask me to go to places with no room to sing karaoke! Wasting a lot of time unless there is only us.

This is also the first time I step into these places. Luckily only mild allergy because we were there early and not many people smoke though the smell is there. What to expect? These kind of places will always have cigarette smoke, it will never go away. They don’t install suction fan to suck the smoke out so it’s all second hand smoke circulating inside. Imagine that. SUXXXX!

Meet Alex Wong – Part 4

Posted on December 20, 2007December 20, 2007 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Meet Alex Wong – Part 4

…Continue from part 3.

Manage to collect some photos but I won’t post them all because I looked horrible! Hahaha… So just post this up to end the post of meeting Alex Wong.

A bloggers’ meet without group photo is not complete. Here’s the group photo from Kenny. Kenny who?!?!? No need introduction one. This is the one and only group photo I have with Kenny in it(but can’t see his face hahaha…) even though I met him many times already. He’s always misssing in group photos because he’s always late for the group photo hahaha… Though meeting him so many times, I’ve never take any photo with him and never have a conversation with him, just hi or hi-bye. That’s all. I have nothing to say to him! *LOL* He has nothing to talk to me also. To me, he’s always sitting there most of the time very quiet until you approach him and start a conversation with him. I’m not the one that can kick start a conversation unless I know you very well or you start first. So… When two persons like this meet, I don’t think you can have any conversation at all *LOL*

Ok… Enough of Kenny. This post is about me meeting Alex not meeting Kenny *LOL*

These are from Edwin.
Left: See! We are the press! That camera!! Bigger than my face! “My” DSLR πŸ˜› Hahaha… Funny right?
Right: Concentrating on what Alex was saying.

These are from Alex‘s camera.
Left: Gift exchange.
Right: Group photo, candid shoot. Not sure who took it using Alex’s camera.

Lastly, here’s the video of Alex and Aimi performing One Day without the complete band for the first time! It’s only about half of the song, I didn’t record the whole thing, not enough memeory space πŸ˜›

Jackbean – Mission 1 – Failed! Mission 2 Now!

Posted on December 19, 2007December 19, 2007 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on Jackbean – Mission 1 – Failed! Mission 2 Now!

Have no time to compile photos for part 4 of meeting with Alex of STM and my story. Will do so soon.

I’m going to AMBP Gathering: Coffee Therapy for Bloggers! Hahaha… I’ll be there! However will only stay until noon. I fly all the way from Kuching to attend the meet at KL πŸ˜› Joking… Hahaha… Just happen to be there.

As you can see… Mission 1 failed! BOHOOO~ My mom killed it! Hahaha…

So I started with the second one… Here’s the update.

It’s much taller now but the the “shell” hasn’t shed yet. Hmm… Will it die halfway again? Hahaha…

So busy~ πŸ™

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
