品味舒食 Idealite – Malaysia 1st Wholesome Dining Place

Posted on May 18, 2015May 18, 2015 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on 品味舒食 Idealite – Malaysia 1st Wholesome Dining Place

I don’t like vegetarian food simply because it’s not as healthy as it claimed. All those artificial meats, artificial flavouring and colouring, and too much oil. They just turned me off.

Good thing Idealite is not like that.

Last Sunday was their opening ceremony. The founder, Tan Yong Jen, from Penang was there and managed to talk to him too. He’s a registered nutritionist and homeopath therapist, and a vegetarian himself. It is not easy to find wholesome vegetarian meal in Malaysia, hence he started this business. Kudos!

Started from operating from home then moved to Jalan Gottlied, Penang. Now, it’s in Kuching! They have 3 branches in Penang already.

Was quite surprised that wholesome food without meat can be this attractive and appetizing. This is how important food presentation is. I bet you’ve not seen such colourful food and these are all fresh and natural ingredients. No preservative, no colouring. You’ll be assured that you are getting all 8 essential nutrients in the food they served. The key ingredients are olive oil, brown sugar, himalaya salt, brown rice, pumpkin ramen, and organic oat milk.

Let’s see what they have to offer, couldn’t get the names of some of the food though.

Left: Tasting portion of pumpkin barley and fresh lemonade. Former is sweet but not too sweet while the latter is very sour but refreshing. I like both anyway.

Right: Lei cha! One of their signature dishes. Isn’t it beautifully presented? Will try this next time.

Left: Mediterranean Eryngii Burger, hope I got the name right ;p

Right: One of the spaghetti available, I think it’s likely to be Pumpkin Spice Spaghetti.

Left: Oh yummy yummy yummy! Hokkaido Vege Sushi, love this! Thumbs up from all of us. The vegetables are so crispy and fresh.

Right: Not sure what rice dish is this but it’s certainly using brown rice.

Left: Very colourful salad but I have no idea what it’s called. However, I’m sure just by ordering this is enough to fill your stomach to the brim for small and average eaters, great to share with 2 to 3 people.

Right: Let me guess… This should be red curry ramen.

Left: Hmm… Not sure what’s this. Can’t figure this out hehehe…

Right: Steamboat, so colourful and tempting. There’s three types to choose namely soy milk, tom yam, and nutritious steamboat. Soy milk sounds tempting, maybe should try this out too next time aside from the lei cha.

Price wise, it on the middle range (RM10 onwards for main dishes). A great option to eat out healthily. They have an extensive menu.

By the way, get 20% off on their Lei Cha from now until 25th May.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
