We reached Jalan Song and there were so many cars and people… Traffic jam!! So decided at the last second that we changed to RH Plaza. We said we’re going to meet at Green Gallery and find a place to eat. When finally found a parking space in front of Pai Jia Le(not sure about the English name), I stepped out of the car and smelt something familiar, then I saw the tables…. It’s Chong Qing Steamboat!! WAH!!! So happy! So we decided to have steamboat! π Hehehe… Second round dinner.
Left: So… Now left the 5 of us, we ordered a bit of food for it as previously we had our dinner already hehehe… Finally!!! So happy! Yummy!!! We ordered the least spicy base.
Right: Needle mushroom.
Left: Two types of fishball. We ordered each half-half hehehe…
Right: Fu zhu, again.. :p Don’t know what it’s called in English, I can’t remember…
Left: Pork.
Right: Xiao bai chai π Don’t know what it’s called in English.
Left: Dry mushroom.
Right: Chicken meat.
Hehehe… There were 5 of us but someone ate half way and said he needed to pick up his friend and left the 4 of us. Goodness gracious… food for 5 and only the 4 of us finished them up! So full! What a night… Driving around Kuching to find food hahaha… From one end to another end…
By the way, a reminder for those that don’t know how to read Chinese, the menu is fully in Chinese.

AhPaul, you always hungry go eat it with your sister hahaha…
Irene,
Have you try Hornbill steamboat? I think they serve the best steamboat ingredients so far. I mean in terms of variety and taste.
Hi Roland, don’t even tell me about Hornbill, it sucks! Food sucks! Even the chili sauce mix with water one. The quality downgraded ever since long long time ago. EWWW… I never go back there again.
huh… sarawak dun have nandos??
chung = medium??
ta = big??
spicy got size 1 meh??
its mild or hot… π
This is not local Sarawak steamboat, this is steamboat from China Chong Qing, so it’s different. In China and Taiwan they have 3 levels of spiciness. Same goes to “ma la mien”. What is nandos? Maybe got but I never eat or just not interested so never bother to know.
Saw Advertlets ad got Nandos, hahaha… No…Kuching don’t have that. Different culture had different ways to express their spiciness and the taste of the spiciness are different too. So it depends on each individual. Also a soup spiciness and meat spiciness are also different, some people can tolerate very spicy meat but not soup or vice versa hahaha…
hahaha… so many kind of spicy-ness
also got the sarawak pepper leh
Sarawak pepper where got spicy hahaha… Unless you are the kind that cannot tolerate even a bit of spiciness hahaha…
