Wonder of Eye Makeup

Posted on June 19, 2010June 20, 2010 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Wonder of Eye Makeup

Warning: This post might give you nightmare ;p

Makeup can do wonders. I’ve been trying all sort of techniques to make my eyes bigger, sadly it didn’t work all the time.

Left: My original eyes. Can see both not the same right?

Right: Simple eye makeup that I usually do. Thanks to the eyeshadow that I used, it gave the illusion that the eyes seemed bigger.

Left: This was done by the pro, I didn’t use double eyelid tape, I forgot! However, I had falsies on. Nothing special right?

Right: I did this myself, with double eyelid tape, eyeliner and falsies. Look bigger don’t you think so?

Left: Done by the pro too, double eyelid not obvious because I applied the double eyelid tape slightly too low the crease.

Right: Double eyelid tape and eyeliner only but didn’t tape it properly, see the imbalanced eye ;p.

Falsies, double eyelid tape, eyeliner, and eye shadows. It did look bigger compare to the original. The one of the right, I had mascara applied to the lower lids.

Left: Double eyelid tape, mascara and eye shadow. Looked big, thanks to the illusion of the eyeshadow too.

Right: Done by the pro, it looked quite big in actual life but not this photo due to the angle. It was the trick of the eyeshadow.

Then… Last night, I tried to do a big eye makeup and ended up…

AIKS! Became oriental eyes! Worst thing was that, I was using double eyelid tapes, eyeliner, falsies, mascara, and eye shadow which at least should be able to make my eyes bigger yet it became so much smaller than all the photos above! Even smaller than my original eyes hahaha…

This is what I called when-makeup-goes-wrong. For the first time I made my eyes smaller ;p

Why it turned out like this? I suspected it’s the cat eye that I did and also the inner lid colour that I used which drowned the double eyelid even though I made a very obvious double eyelid before makeup. Looking in the mirror, it didn’t look this small but in the photos last night, my eyes became very oriental LOL…

Oh… By the way, I’m using earth tone eye shadows in most of the photos so there’s not much colour to see.

Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
