Sushi King @ Boulevard

Posted on January 6, 2008January 6, 2008 By sweet surrender 12 Comments on Sushi King @ Boulevard

Finally Sushi King is here in Kuching! The first branch at Boulevard. The soft opening was on 4th January evening. We went there yesterday. Supposed to go there with a group of friends but they were late. Jimmy and I went in first since we were lucky that there were two seats available. Need to queue! So many people!

Full house!

Left: The “Kaiten Sushi” or “Revolving Sushi”.
Right: Menu.

Left: Beware of bones!
Right: The chopsticks and toothpicks.

You can order the drinks from the menu. The drinks are imported from Japan. Else you can opt for free-flow green tea(cold/hot) which is free. We ordered green tea of course because we wanted to taste the food not the drinks! 😛 Or call us cheapskate also can hehehe…

Left: Now on promotion, buy one free one, RM5, only for yesterday. I don’t remember its name -.- A type of Temaki.
Right: Kodomo Bento(RM15.90). Breaded fish, prawn & vegetable, omelette, crabstick, deep fried fish cake & chicken nugget, vegetable croquette, green soybeans, mixed vegetable salad, served with steamed rice and Nestle MatKool ice-cream.

Left: Cold Soba Set(RM17.90). Prawn and vegetable tempura, sweet beancurd sushi, mixed vegetable salad, crabstick, served with cold buckwheat noodles, omelete, green soybeans and Nestle MatKool ice-cream.
Right: After we’re done with our set meals, we conquered the “Revolving Sushi” Hahaha… This is Sake(Fresh Salmon), RM4 for the pink plate. We did take another sushi but forgot to take the picture and couldn’t find it in the menu also. It’s also the from the pink plate.

Left: Tako(Cooked octopus), RM3 from the beige plate.
Right: 3 plates only hehehe… If we didn’t order the set, then we’ll be eating a lot of the “Revolving Sushi”.

For your information, you can go for:
ALA’ CARTE
Teishoku – Set Meals
RM2 Blue Plate
RM3 Beige Plate
RM4 Pink Plate
RM5 Red Plate
RM6 Purple Plate

This is my second time at eating at Sushi King. First time was in KLCC in 2006. My verdict, it’s not that expensive. Pretty worth it. I love it! The service is good also. I had applied for the privilege card. It’s RM15(per year) which you will be given a table calender and two japanese tea cups. My card isn’t here yet, they had reserved for me, will go collect it later if I’m free as they ran out of it yesterday, too many people applied.

They will be opening a branch in The Spring also. The Temaki promotion at The Spring is only valid on 9th January. I won’t be able to attend the opening of The Spring 🙁 Will be flying to KL that day. Few more days to go! It’s time to rest… I started to feel burn out already. Hopefully can rest but I’m quite sure I still need to work by then as need to do some on-going maintenance for some websites.

Sushi is costly for me…considering the portion u get…i think i need at least 10 plates to get myself stuffed…unless i get set meal XD

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
