Clarins Multi-Active Skin Renewal Serum & Day Early Wrinkle Correction Cream

Posted on April 14, 2010April 14, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Clarins Multi-Active Skin Renewal Serum & Day Early Wrinkle Correction Cream

I got the samples of Clarins Multi-Active Skin Renewal Serum & Day Early Wrinkle Correction Cream somewhere last year after joining the Facebook survey conducted by Clarins.

They were actually meant for those in their 30’s, I’m not yet in my 30’s but close to it already. All those aging signs started to show already at late twenties. It’s meant to fight the first sign of aging.

Left: Clarins Multi-Active Skin Renewal Serum (30ml)

Thanks to a unique formula, the serum restores incredible brightness, softness and a healthy glow. Early wrinkles are reduced and skin appears younger-looking. Better toned, skin is more resistant to aggressions. It is perfectly smooth, incredibly soft to the touch and glows with a new freshness.

Nopal flower extract: evens the skin surface and reduces small age spots. Phytosphingosine: optimizes the synthesis of collagen and boosts cell renewal.

It really lived up to what it claimed! I could immediately see the radiant after applying it. I really hope to get this but the price is a bit too high end for me. I can’t afford it.

Right: Clarins Multi-Active Day Early Wrinkle Correction Cream (50ml)

The ideal solution for premature loss of tone linked to a busy lifestyle. Improves the skins support structure and hydration. Reduces early wrinkles to leave skin smooth, fresh and younger-looking again. Thanks to an anti-free radical active ingredient, skin is preserved from premature aging.

Ambiaty extract: a medicinal plant from Madagascar. It stimulates the dermal-epidermal junction which supports the epidermis and provides the water and nutrients it needs. Hesperidin: an active ingredient encapsulated in Multi-Lamellins which release it as and when the skin needs.

Applied this after the serum. This also didn’t disappoint me. I double confirmed the effectiveness when I went for my facial after using it for 2 weeks. The beautician told me that my skin wasn’t dry anymore and the condition improved! Imagine how happy I heard that. Every time I went, I’m sure being told that my skin was dehydrated. Again, I cannot afford it, too expensive for me.

At least I know these are good stuffs and I’ll put this in my KIV list in case I can afford it next time.

Jade Pot Tea House @ Jalan Song Thian Cheok

Posted on April 13, 2010April 14, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Jade Pot Tea House @ Jalan Song Thian Cheok

Went to have discussion with my classmates last Sunday at Jade Pot Tea House @ Jalan Song Thian Cheok. Haven’t been there for ages. It’s strange that this place was packed at even before 4pm, we were there at almost 4pm. It’s no longer lunch time, not even dinner time but people were there for very heavy meals already.

I forgot to take note of most of the name and prices of food we ordered. Sorry… I might provide you with the wrong prices or names.

Left: Honey Jasmine Green Tea(RM2.50), I hope I got it right, I used to order this last time when I was there, and Honey Milk Tea(RM3).

Right: Hot Milk Tea, The price was reasonable but I don’t remember the price. We were surprised it’s served this way. We decided if we are to go there again, we’ll just order two of this and we share hehehe…

Left: I forgot the noodle name, in Chinese it’s called zha jiang mian(炸酱面). If not mistaken, the price was between RM4-5.

Right: Stri Fried Dumpling(RM6), we asked for cabbage and chives, 5 each. I usually don’t eat chives because I don’t like it but I like it this way ;p The cabbage one was not so nice.

Left: England Omelette (RM5), tasted weird. As if I’m eating pancake with mayonnaise.

Right: Taiwan Spring Onion Omellete(RM2), this is not so bad too. Usually I don’t like spring onion too but I will eat it this way.

This might be the place we’ll be hanging out after classes from now on even though the place is quite noisy.

Toasts @ After 3

Posted on April 12, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Toasts @ After 3

Went to After 3 few weeks back with some friends and we decided to ordered some snacks for our afternoon tea break. Ended up ordered 3 types of toasts.

Left: Egg sandwich(RM2.50), this is quite nice. I like it.

Right: Milk and peanut butter toast(RM2.50), we didn’t like this, it’s too sweat but presentation wise was nice.

Left: Honey and butter toast(RM2.50), if only the butter could melt fully. Very nice presentation too.

Right: Craved for fries(RM3.80), so ordered one but was disappointed, McD’s fries is still the best ;p

Thalgo Organic Skincare Beauty Seminar

Posted on April 11, 2010April 13, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Thalgo Organic Skincare Beauty Seminar

Was lucky that my class was canceled yesterday. It enabled me to take part in Thalgo Organic Skincare Beauty Seminar at Four Points, Sheraton, with some bloggers from Kuching.

I heard of Thalgo a lot but never got the chance to know what it’s all about. It’s actually a skin care system from France and they were launching their new range of organic skincare system yesterday.

If you care about the environment, this range of products are just what you need:

TERRE & MER by THALGO is an ECO-CITIZEN and ECO-DESIGNED range. THE FORMULAS are more than 99% natural, are certified Organic by ECOCERT and comply with the COSMEBIO (World-renowned with a presence in 40 countries worldwide) charter. The packaging items are made of recyclable plastic (PE, PP), glass and are authorised by ECOCERT.

The boxes and leaflets are printed with plant-based inks and are made of cardboard with the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) label from sustainably managed forests and it does not contain excess filling material.

Some of the products on display.

Some stuffs for relaxation, massage, during the facial session.

During the session, the representative of Thalgo, Nawael Merechal, gave us some insights of the Terre & Mer product range. After that, there was a facial demonstration.

Now… I roughly know what I’m going tru’ when I did my monthly facial *LOL* Interesting… At the same time, we were also given the tips and techniques on how to make the products absorb better if we are to use the products at home. Very insightful. I’m not sure about others but I really found it interesting since I do go for almost similar session every month except with different products and different salon(I know… I’m so pampered! Hahaha…).

Left: This lucky lady had her facial done by Nawael Merechal who came all the way from France, isn’t that great? The facial lasted 75 minutes.

Right: The managing director presented a souvenir to Nawael.

Left: After that, there’s lucky draw session. We didn’t get anything from it hehehe… One was quite close to my number but too bad it’s still not my number.

Right: We were given with these in the goodies bag that consists of samples sachets of cream, fluid, concentrate and etc., one bottle of cleanser and one bottle of toner(these two are extras that were given later for review). Thank you very much for letting us try the products.

You can get the products or enjoy the facial here in Kuching at Thalgo Kuching Exclusive Outlets located at:-
Allunique (EM) Sdn Bhd, Ground Floor & 1st Floor, Lot 3168, Batu 21/2, Block 10, KCLD Batu 21/2, Jalan Rock, 93250 Kuching, Sarawak.
Tel: 082 259 339
or
Beauty Esteem Sdn Bhd, 194A & 194B, Lot 464 & 465, Ground Floor. Al -Idrus Commercial Centre, Jalan Satok 93400 Kuching, Sarawak.
Tel: 082 256 262

You can check out other products from Thalgo at the official website: www.thalgo-sea.com

Gonna review them soon but I’m not sure how soon because I have another product that I’m still in the process of reviewing to ensure that it won’t interfere with each other.

Seems like Sweet Surrender is turning into a beauty blog! Good news or bad news? ;p

Why Don’t You Blog About Your Relationship?

Posted on April 10, 2010April 11, 2010 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Why Don’t You Blog About Your Relationship?

As the title of the post. I did get this question from time to time from some readers in e-mail.

If you notice, I don’t blog about my relationship in my blog ever since the passing my late-bf years ago except the stories of us last time.

I’m not revealing anything but if you do follow my blog well that includes the comment section, there might be hints of my current state of relationship *LOL* So… Are you going to dig around? Are you that busybody? Hahaha… You won’t know in my Friendster or Facebook too coz I’m forever in the state of “It’s complicated” ;p

If you think some of my emo posts are related to my relationship, sad to day, it’s not even though it sounded like it. It’s about some other stuffs.

Well… I don’t blog about it, there’s only two reasons. One, there’s none to blog about. Two, it’s not the time to reveal my love life to the world. Choose one. Whichever you like, it won’t make a difference at all as I’m not going to write anything about it until maybe one day.

Some people might know which state I’m in but most don’t in real life too because should I say I’m good in hiding or pretending or sending the wrong signals be it attached or otherwise *LOL* Whatever…

Oh well… If you are wondering just like some readers, that’s all I can say about it ;p

So many exam notes to memorize… GAH!

Oh… Today’s date is 10/04/10.

Enjoy your weekend!

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
