Sorry about the lousy quality of the photo, I was lazy to get my camera which was in the living room, I just took my phone to take these photos in the bedroom.
I had finished using Biore UV Perfect Face Milk and decided to try something else. Watched Queen/女人我最大 (Nu Ren Wo Zui Da) introduced one of the sunblocks by Loreal so I planned to get it. Since all the packaging are similar, I ended up buying Loreal Longlasting UVA/UVB Protector (Even Complexion) after considering and comparing for quite awhile at Guardian.

It was below RM30 because there was promotion that time. Original price should be above RM30. Obviously I bought the wrong product, the one introduced in Queen was white in colour, the one I’m using is tinted.
I used it as the last step of my skincare routine. I did not like the texture at first because it didn’t turn matte and it’s slightly sticky(I tried stickier ones before, Nivea and Avene, ewww…). It could be spread easily leaving my skin with some shine. Before I applied my makeup, I would dab it with tissue paper to get rid of the stickiness if I’m rushing to go out else I will apply my makeup 10 minutes later. I experienced a bit of breakouts in the beginning but after using it for few more times, I had no problem with it.
Many UV protectors(Pure & Mild – My very first UV protector, used it for almost 10 years but not using it now because I wanted to try some other brands; Biore, Nivea, and Avene) that I had used did not solve the problem of dry cheeks, after applying them, I would surely have flakes at my cheek area which I had to sweep them off with my fingers but usually it won’t be gone completely. On the other hand, Loreal Longlasting UVA/UVB Protector does not have this problem at all! Yay to this!
I do suffer from uneven skin tone. I noticed that after about 2 hours, my skin tone looked even. That’s because the effect was not obvious in the beginning and I only get to see the mirror 2 or 3 hours later ;p
As for oil control, at least my face wasn’t that oily compared to using other UV Protectors except Biore’s.
Overall, I’m quite satisfied with it. If it can help in mattifying my face, it will be even better. Still, at least it’s better than the rest.
Before I end the post, here’s a very important reminder, do not apply your makeup immediately after UV protector, you should wait at least 5 minutes for the UV protector to settle down into your skin to be effective else the effect equals to nothing no matter how high the SPF is. I got this tip from Queen.

Olay Total Effect is no stranger to all I guess… My mom has been using it ever since it’s introduced, almost 10 years… I remember I tried it last time when my mom bought it and I quite like it. However, I stopped using it after few usages because I did not really need it. If I’m not mistaken, it’s recommended for women age 27 and above.
