When 3 Girls Meet

Posted on August 9, 2011August 9, 2011 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on When 3 Girls Meet

Back home, I have more male friends than female friends. Here in Adelaide, I have soooooo many female friends but male friends can only be counted with less than 5 fingers! That’s all! How pathetic? Some more, it’s so hard to find people within my age bracket be it male or female. They’re mostly way younger than I am. So far, only one I know who is of the same age as me sigh… However, I do not look my age so those younger ones thought that I’m as young as them ;p It’s pretty hard to find a partner here too hahaha… Anybody to intro? *DESPERATE* ;p

Happened that I met 2 coursemates since the start of my studies. They’re both from Malaysia, one about 1 year younger than me and another one my sister’s age (5 years younger). We’ve been planning about hanging out even before exam but never got the time to do it until last Friday. 3 of us went for dinner at Chinatown at 5.30pm then headed back to the apartment with a bottle of Jim Beam(700ml), a bottle of Pepsi(2L), 2 cans of Coke(375ml each), and 3 packets of chips *LOL* It’s a good thing my friend’s housemate had moved out so we had the whole apartment for ourselves to talk with all the privacy we need. It’s not easy to have such privacy here you know…

There you go… I don’t normally drink, even if I did it’s just few sips but last Friday, we finished the whole bottle of alcohol and Pepsi, and a can of coke. We had them with bowls! No cups for it that’s why ;p Started at 7pm. My very first time, surprisingly I wasn’t drunk at all, very much alert the whole night, none of us got drunk, the whole night was just sitting down, talking, drinking, eating, and many toilet trips ;p. I’m quite amaze with myself! Apparently my alcohol tolerant level isn’t that low. I guess it’s not bad for a beginner hahaha… This is my first time drinking so much alcohol and softdrink! Very bad for health. Gosh… I still can’t believe it until today! Good thing, no allergy, no turning red, no headache too. Usually I’ll get itchiness even with few sips.

Guess I’m not allergic to bourbon as few weeks back I had some American Honey too and it got no effect on me while my other friend turned red hahaha… It was very little too. Even so, I won’t make drinking my habit. I don’t like the taste of alcohol, just not my kind of thing to hang out with alcohol, I still prefer to hang out with tea or chocolate in a nice quiet cafe. Clubbing is not my thing. Loud music stresses me out.

We only ended the session at 5.30am (Saturday morning)! Was supposed to end it before 12am and keep the leftover alcohol for next time but hahaha… We finished everything. Unbelievable! We talked non-stop too! Oh well… What to do? We are suffering from the same “sickness” and found out we are pretty much in common. WOW! ;p No wonder we clicked. It was girl talk for 12 hours straight!

Got home and slept at about 6am after shower. Woke up around 11.30am. I guess I’m not that young anymore, in the afternoon I was so damn sleepy but I forced myself to stay awake to do some research for my assignments, dozing on and off. At the end, I gave in, I slept at around 11pm that night. Then again, still not enough, woke up early the next day to church, got back and I was so sleepy, even dozed off in front of my computer doing my research -.-”

There you go… The story of the meeting of 3 “thirsty” girls… *LOL*

T2

Posted on August 7, 2011August 7, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on T2

When I heard of T2, I had no idea what it was all about. My friends kept talking about it and finally when I reached there then I found out that it’s a shop specializing in many type of tea! It’s really an amazing place located at Rundle Street.

Left: The signboard in front of the shop. Doesn’t look like a place for buying tea.

Right: WOW! Sooooo colourful! You can find all sort of drinkwares be it for tea, coffee, juice, water, and more! I’m sure you’ll definitely find something you want in there.

Wonder how those tea smells like? You get to smell them here… It’s really a tea heaven for those who love tea. Oh, you get to try out some of the tea in the shop too.

Left: Just part of the section of the shop. All types storage solutions for tea-tipplers.

Right: The counter.

It’s an interesting place to visit and great for tea lovers. Highly recommend this place.

Noodle Kingdom

Posted on August 5, 2011August 5, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on Noodle Kingdom

Went on an eating spree last weekend. Never dine out so many times in 2 days in my life! This also mean I spent too much for the weekend! -.-

Anyway, the journey started at Chinatown Noodle Kingdom. Just behind the Central Market, 31 Gouger St City Centre. They specialized in Nothern Chinese cuisine.

Ordered some food to share. I don’t quite remember what were the food we had ordered as I’m not the one ordering. Will try my best to provide the correct name hehehe…

Left: Beijing Style Fried Noodle (AUD9.50), tried a bit of it and the taste was good.

Right: Seaweed (AUD1), it tasted weird, I didn’t like it. Not the usual seaweed taste that I know.

These two looked similar and OH DEAR! I really don’t remember anything! ;p All I knew was that I like one of them as it’s quite flavourful and the noodle was so Q. The other one was quite tasteless or maybe because I had the stronger flavoured one hence I couldn’t taste the taste of the other one.

If not mistaken, they are Beef Brisket in Noodle Soup (AUD8.50) and Authentic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup (AUD8.50). Really really don’t remember, doesn’t look like what in the menu to identify also hahaha…

Left: Pan Fried Pork Dumpling (AUD7.50), I like this.

Right: Steamed Shanghai Pork Dumplings (AUD6.80), a bit of disappointment with this, I was expecting the skin to be very delicate, not so dry, and lots of the soup in there but it didn’t. Taste wise, it was good.

Portion was big! Definitely cannot finish it alone. Good to share with friends. Price wise, it’s not that expensive if you’re earning AUD *LOL* However, once converted then it’s another story hahaha…

LUS S Line Body Slimming Glove

Posted on August 2, 2011 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on LUS S Line Body Slimming Glove

Remember the previous post about V Line? Now, I’m going to talk about LUS S Line Body Slimming Glove. When I was offered to test this product, I wasn’t sure as I’m slim enough already. Then again, I need to review it as part of the deal, so I agreed. When it arrived, I was delighted! It’s not all about slimming, it can be used for cellulite problem!

I’ve been suffering from cellulite for God-Knows-How-Long. Who say skinny people doesn’t suffer such problem. Mine isn’t nice at all, especially my butt, hip, and thigh area. -.-” Can’t wear anything too short especially bikini and summer is coming real soon! In fact, the weather is getting warmer now, Spring is coming next month!

Even though it can be used for cellulite problem, I was quite reluctant to use it at first because I’m skinny enough, using it might make me even skinnier! *LOL* Then again, since it’s part of the deal, I just had to try it out else how to write?

Finally I tried it. I felt it heated up after using the second step. The heat is meant to improve your circulation and also to assist in reducing water retention (Great! If you suffer from water retention, this product can be used too!). After washing it off, I notice that my thigh felt firmer and the cellulite mark on my upper thigh and hip didn’t look that obvious. I didn’t take photo of it as I was in the bathroom and really have no idea how to take photos in there some more the area is not meant to be shown to the public! *LOL*

In fact, I gave it to a friend of mine to try also and she could feel the heat from the glove and got a bit of shock. Don’t worry about the heat, this is one of the features of this product 😉

Direction of use:
1) Slot hand into the glove with the dotted side facing out. (Exfoliating action)

2) Begin massaging with the dotted surface on the intended areas (tummy, thigh, arm) in circular motion for 3-5 minutes.

3) Following by that, take off the glove and flip into the other side with the smoother side facing out. (Slimming action)

4) Begin massaging using the smoother surface on the intended areas (tummy, thigh, arm) in circular motion for 3-5 minutes. Leave it n for 20 – 30minutes for the slimming ingredients to be absorbed and wash it off thereafter.

I used it once only because I’m afraid that I’m going to get slimmer after using it for too many times *LOL* People are commenting that I looked thinner now -.-”

You can try it out if you are still looking for something that works. I did experience some effects even though it’s not major. Those of you who might be suffering more serious cellulite problem might be able to see more significant result.

The retail price is RM 79 for 1 box LUS S Line Body Slimming Glove which consists of 5 gloves. You can buy them at all Sasa outlets in Malaysia (starting July 2011) or buy it online (Supermodel’s Secrets, they deliver to outside of Malaysia even Australia) if your place doesn’t have Sasa.

HURRY! Few more days to go! Don’t forget to JOIN THE CONTEST! You’ll get to win LUS V Line Extra Lift Up or even the LUS S Line Body Slimming Glove for yourself. Send your contest entry with your name and contact number to info@twioplanet.com

Sara Lee Chocolate Pie

Posted on July 31, 2011July 31, 2011 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Sara Lee Chocolate Pie

I bought Sara Lee Chocolate Pie quite awhile ago and finally ate it after a month of leaving it in the freezer! It’s not cheap, I bought it when it was on sale for half price. Since my freezer is filled with many other food, the pie had absorb some of the smell of the food. I thought the pie will be sealed in foil in the box but apparently it’s not.

Sara Lee Chocolate Pie is a delicious short crust chocolate sponge pie with a luscious chocolate sauce and lattice top.

Anyway, I had it few weeks ago after found out I had done well in my exam. Patheticly celebrating it myself and having it alone. My plan was to have it with my friend but things change… Did share a slice with my housemate though.

I didn’t really follow the instruction on how to heat it, I just defroze it with the microwave. Removing the pie tray first of course.

In fact, by just defrozing it with the default setting of the microwave was enough to heat it up. YUM! The chocolate just oozed out when I cut it into 4 slices. Ruined most of them though, the nice shape didn’t retain.

It was DELICIOUS! Highly recommended by me! So rich in chocolate. It was sweet but not the kind of sweet that make you feel yucky or sick of eating it.

I want more!! Wait till there’s sale for it again ;p
