Adelaide Himeji Garden

Posted on July 20, 2011July 20, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on Adelaide Himeji Garden

Had the opportunity to visit Adelaide Himeji Garden for the first time after hearing so much about it. This is where I dropped my phone because I was attempting to hold my camera and my phone at the same time and loss grip of my phone. It fell hard on the ground full of pebbles!

The Adelaide Himeji Garden was built to symbolise the bonds of friendship between the City of Adelaide and the Himeji Region of Japan. It was opened on 3 April 1985.

The Adelaide City Council resolved in 1982 to make a symbolic garden which might help the people of Adelaide to understand the culture of the Japanese. Osmond Gardens on South Terrace was chosen as the site, as it is easily accessible and contains many fine trees, although not all of them are native to Japan.

The Garden blends two classic styles. the ‘senzui’ (lake and mountain garden) where the imagination endows the small pond with vastness and grandeur. The second is the ‘kare senzui’ (dry garden) where rocks and sand evoke the presence of water, even the sea itself

Left: The garden is so nice… Can’t wait for Spring to see sakura blossoms! Don’t have to go to Japan for it anymore. However, I wonder will it be packed by people by then.

Right: Saw this very colourful bird.

The ‘senzui’ (lake and mountain garden).

The ‘kare senzui’ (dry garden).

The weather was so nice that day, must take photo! ;p It’s winter mind you but the sun was so nice. However, later in the afternoon it started to get cold.

It’s a very small garden. We found out that wedding photography is not allowed. However, we saw a couple went there for their wedding photography. I guess they don’t allow it is because it might spoil the tranquility or the qi of the garden which was supposed to be a peaceful quiet place.

Hmm… I wonder the architectures found here use anything related to adhesive dispensing systems, meter mix and dispense, or liquid metering.

Definitely will go back during Spring.

LUS V Line Extra Lift Up

Posted on July 18, 2011July 19, 2011 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on LUS V Line Extra Lift Up

Last month I was invited to review new products from Korea. I happily accepted it as having a “V” face is something many Taiwanese and Korean celebrities talk about every single time in many beauty TV shows. Since the distributor in Malaysia is willing to send it all the way from Malaysia to Australia for me to try the product, why not?

Today, I’m going to review the first product called LUS V Line Extra Lift Up. Say bye bye to chubby cheeks and double chin! Com’on, let’s face it, once we aged, our skin will sag, so your “V” face will become “U” face which I have been noticing on myself. That’s why I am very excited when I’m being asked to review this product. I want my “V” face back!

Left: The box consists of 7 mask sheets + 1 Neoprene. The NEOPRENE band included helps to create a clear chin line by pressing on the meridian points on under the chin that affect the aging of skin. The mask itself delivers 2 actions:-
Action 1: Self Heating – helps to burn away those excess fat under your chin
Action 2: Skin Firming – contains intensive collagen that restores the elasticity of your skin

Right: It’s a bit hard to use but once you got the hang of it, it’s quite easy. It took me 15 minutes to figure out how to use it *LOL* Since my face is quite small, that’s how it looks like. Even though I have small face, the band can still be used by me so no worries at all for those with small face like me. You know how difficult for people like us to use facial mask as usually it’s too big for our face ;p I looked so ugly in it! Hahaha…

In case you’re wondering about the ingredients in the mask…

I like the smell. The mask really heated up with the help of the Neoprene and I could feel the heat almost instantly. It’s quite comfortable since I’m experiencing cold weather here. Also feeling the effect of strain from the Neoprene. You’ll get the result after 3 usages in a week. However, I used it once a week. I could feel the result in just one use, my skin around the jawline and neck felt firmer after using it for the first time.

The effect after using it for the 3rd time (3rd week). Very obvious right? Of course, the result differs for each individual. There is no need to wash off the residue with all the goodness in there(Vitamin E, Collagen, Beta-Glucan, Coenzyme Q10, and Vitamin-A), I massaged them into my whole neck and décolletage. You must take care of your neck as this is where it will make you look older.

Very excited!! See!

Note: Ok… I got quite a fair bit of feedback saying that the difference is way too much and too good to be true. Let get this straight, there’s definitely difference in real life but not this much because of my angle in the photos, I can’t find the exact angle hence it looks like there’s so much difference here. Rest assure that it does has effect in real life, I do feel it. Again, please bear in mind that the result differs from one individual to another.

No surgery for it. You might want to try it out. I do recommend it. Also, I didn’t suffer any breakout after using it. So it’s a good thing for me. Oh! Remember to wash the Neoprene everytime after use.

The retail price is RM 99 for 1 box LUS V Line Extra Lift Up. You can buy them at all Sasa outlets in Malaysia (starting July 2011) or buy it online (Supermodel’s Secrets, they deliver to outside of Malaysia even Australia) if your place doesn’t have Sasa.

Will have the review of LUS S Line Body Slimming Glove, another interesting product for those suffering from cellulite, coming up soon 😉

Meanwhile, don’t forget to JOIN THE CONTEST! You’ll get to win LUS V Line Extra Lift Up or even the LUS S Line Body Slimming Glove for yourself. Send your contest entry with your name and contact number to info@twioplanet.com

Posted on July 15, 2011July 15, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on So… So… Vain (17)

OH! It’s been awhile not being vain ;P Had the opportunity to dress up a bit for the interview hehehe… Photos taken after got back from the interview. Well… I can always play dress up and have full make up on anytime but just too lazy most of the time. Only the brightness of the photos was adjusted as original ones are a bit too dark.

The last vain post was posted in April so it’s about 3 months later posting this. That’s sure a long time ago! In case you don’t remember how I look like already hehehe… My hair is sooo looong now! Fast hair growth.

Enjoy your weekend!

Soooo Cooold

Posted on July 12, 2011July 14, 2011 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Soooo Cooold

I’m gonna be random today. Too busy. Just a quick update on my life here.

It’s the second month of winter, it’s definitely colder than the first month. Hate winter hahaha… However, have to be thankful that the winter here isn’t that bad as winter in NZ or UK or Canada. Still I don’t like winter, too cold to do anything, it makes me all lazy. I dread to go out too. If there’s nothing that need me to be out of the house, I’ll just be staying at home. The days are miserably gloomy and wet, no snow ;p. Then again, it’s not as bad as other countries.

Currently busy with studies and also work. Lots of work to do. It’s a good thing I guess, to keep me busy but at times it’s quite stressful because everything due at the same time. If I’m doing my studies online, then I can make up my own schedule and study based on my own interests and my own pace. However, I’ve done it before so now I’m learning to be a full-time student ;p

By the way, failed the recent interview 😛 Then again, it’s a great experience as it’s not your typical interview, it was such a fun one. It’s also my very first formal interview here.

I only have less than a year here, how time flies. I really don’t want to go back so soon 🙁 One year can’t experience much, some more most of the time I’m just studying. No holiday at all, will only have a long one, a pathetic one month in December and will start class again in January 2012 aih… That’s the problem joining the odd intake *LOL*

I only knew it when I’m here, there’s the normal one and the other is the odd one but it’s a good thing too because I only need to concentrate on 2 subjects for each exam period even though the study period is shorter with no holiday in between unlike the normal one, 4 subjects with many holidays. That’s a lot of work and postgrad students don’t have study break. Also, there’s no extra money to go around exploring yet.

On the other personal side of the matter, I’m still soooo screwed. I just don’t have the courage. Thought maybe drinking a bit of alcohol can lossen me up a bit to be braver but muahahahah… It got no effect on me, I guess it’s too little to take effect. I guess it’s not easy to get drunk with American Honey with ice then later I added coke into it ;p It was not intended to, I was just curious asking my friend whether I could have a sniff of it but ended up my friend offered me a drink. My very first time drinking something not stout, beer, or wine. I’ll get itchiness drinking those no matter how little they were but not this one.

All right, that’s all for now.
