Food Avenue

Posted on December 18, 2007December 17, 2007 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Food Avenue

This is one of the latest eatery in Kuching. It was launched on 2nd December 2007. My parents went there that day and didn’t have very good impression on it because their food were taken away before they could finish it! It just happened that my parents and my bro wanted to switch their food among each other to taste but before they were in time to taste it(only looked away for a while), the food were taken away by the waitress! -.-” Lesson of the story, be sure to keep your food close to you, don’t put it too far from you especially when your food is almost finish and pay attention to your food hahaha… Your drinks too.

My mom lazy to cook lunch last Sunday. My dad suggested to go there as I’ve never been there. Many people still wondering where this is located. Actually it’s just behind Igloo at 4th Mile or just next to Everrise at 4th Mile. There’s a projector there, it’s good when there’s football match, the place will surely be packed!

There are about 20 stalls. You can get Singapore Mee Siam there, Penang yam rice there and various local delicacies but many were closed when we were there about 2pm for lunch, some not open until next year. Pinoy Ihaw-Ihaw(The Philippino restaurant at Padungan) is opening a stall there too.

Left: HEY! WiFi available! Don’t know how true is that hahaha… I don’t have anything with me to test 😛
Right: The drinks are blardy expensive! These two glasses, iced soya bean and lime juice already cost RM3.10.

Pork rice sets. Two types here(BBQ and crispy). The rice was dry and cold -.- The pork(3 layer meat) was ok when it’s hot. RM4.50 per plate. Portion very small. Not worth.

Left: Sister Crispy Popiah(RM5) is there also.
Right: Ah Suan Chicken Rice also there. Here’s its pork rice. The curry was so watery and sweet -.-

I don’t really like this place. I thought it was a very big place… DUH~ So small… Summore they have this retracting roof or something, what for?!?!? Night time open it up to eat bird shit? I don’t see the need of it -.- Too much money to spend I guess.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
