My first movie of 2008, Flood. Watched it at Star Cineplex yesterday. They had changed their ticketing system. I know… I know… I’m late in reporting this because I’m not a cinema goer. I only go to cinema one or 2 times a year or worst, never! I don’t go hu ha over movies.
Back to the movie. It’s an OK but not so OK(hahaha… basically neutral) movie for entertainment purpose and there were some goofs here and there(I didn’t realise because I’m not good in UK’s geography, just found out from the Internet) and the ending was quite abrupt.
Here’s the excerpt of the movie:
Timely yet terrifying, The Flood predicts the unthinkable. When a raging storm coincides with high seas it unleashes a colossal tidal surge, which travels mercilessly down England’s East Coast and into the Thames Estuary. Overwhelming the Barrier, torrents of water pour into the city. The lives of millions of Londoners are at stake. Top marine engineers and barrier experts Rob, his ex-wife Sam and his father Leonard Morrison, have only a few hours to save the city from total devastation.
If not because of what had happend on 2004 Boxing Day, I would be able to enjoy this kind of movie genre. HELL NO! Many times I had to hold back my tears thinking of what had happened few years back. At one point where the scene showing bodies floating around, I almost broke down but luckily I managed to hold my composure.
I shouldn’t have agree to watch this movie! I didn’t realise it’s this kind of story. I’m not a movie buff, I’m out of sync with the movie industry. When I was suggested with this movie, I didn’t think much at all and just agreed because all I’m thinking is to watch movie with the free tickets and I didn’t mind what type of movie to watch.
Anyway, I didn’t see any good review about it on the Internet.
can use my privilege book? Is this “M” movie?
No idea what is “M” or no “M”… But this movie is almost gone already hehehe… It’s been showing for ages and now only have two shows per day. Soon will be one show per day and gone… Hahaha… It definitely can be used coz it’s not a new movie hahaha…
i was told it was a low-budget production.. hehe..
Yes, it is. No need to be told, it’s everywhere in the Internet *LOL*
LOL.. im a non-active movie-freak myself now.. haven’t been updating much on movie industry nowadays.. only setting my sights on several movies.
