Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Revitalizing Peel Off Mask

Posted on November 29, 2009November 30, 2009 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Revitalizing Peel Off Mask

I decided to try out Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Revitalizing Peel Off Mask yesterday. My sis got this mask last year for £1, original price was more than £3. It’s in my cupboard for more than a year ;p I’m not sure it expired already or not since I couldn’t find the manufacture and expiry date. I tried to find reviews or more details of this mask but couldn’t find any. Even couldn’t find it in their own website.

I opened up the sachet, and poured some out to test. This one sachet is too much for me and I only poured out about a quarter or less of it and it’s enough to cover my whole face and neck. I still have leftover stored in airtight container ;p

This is how the content looked like and I don’t really like the smell. It smells like heavily scented powder and made me sneeze quite a bit. I’m not sure this is normal or not hahaha… As I mentioned just now, it’s bought at discounted price more than a year ago.

I didn’t follow the instructions fully as I’m just using a little bit. I added warm water and stirred vigorously for more than 30 seconds. I added the water bit by bit just to make sure it’s diluted enough for applying to my face.

In fact I was pretty worry because I’m not sure whether the content is still good or not. There was even black pieces in there that I have no idea what they were. I assume that they are meant to be part of the mask ;p

It’s not easy to apply and it’s very messy. You see those granules on my face? Those are the black stuffs I found in the mask that couldn’t be diluted. I was expecting that the mask would be something rubbery when it dried but to my surprise, it’s not rubbery at all and could not remove like a normal peel off mask. Removing it was EXTREMELY difficult and messy. Imagine clay that has been expose to the air and dried up except it’s not that heavy for this case.

The problem was that I couldn’t just wash it off at the sink as it would clog the sink(that’s what the packet there stated). I took quite a while to remove the “clay” and I ended up with lots of dried “clay” on the floor. I had to sweep my room after that. There were still some on my face and I went to take shower for the second time just to remove them thoroughly from my neck and face.

Good thing, there wasn’t any redness or discomfort on my face. Geee… I wonder is it expired that’s why it’s like that or that’s what it’s supposed to be. What to do? I can’t find any details online about it and it’s not sold and not available in its official website. Hmmm…

I did notice some differences to the skin. My skin seemed to have more moisture, soft and smooth to touch.

I didn’t apply to the whole face as you can see in the photo because I didn’t dare as I’m not sure the product was still good or already went bad ;p It was not easy to spread on the face also. Not only that, I started off at the neck and noticed how it dried up, that’s why I didn’t want to spread all over the face because it will be even more difficult to remove.

So? I really don’t know… Is this product expired already or it’s meant to be like this? *shrug*

Where to get that? I know someone who uses this mask. But I’m not sure it’s the same kind with what you have used. It’s not expired or what, it just the way it is. =P

so, any ideas for me to get one? =)

Amiey, in UK *LOL* Some people do sell it on Ebay though but not Ebay Malaysia, it’s quite expensive. Maybe can get it in the shop in KL too but I can’t seem to find this product in its official site.
