What to Get with RM150 on Zalora?

Posted on February 10, 2022July 14, 2022 By sweet surrender No Comments on What to Get with RM150 on Zalora?

Got RM150 voucher from Zalora, did a total purchase of RM149.40. Here’s a very quick ASMR unboxing and try-on. Check it out to see what I got and how the fit is on me.

Here are the details of the outfits I bought:

1. ZALORA WORK Cuffed Puff Sleeve Dress (https://invol.co/cl8ppo2), Size S, RM33.90
Stretchy fabric (95% Polyester, 5% Elastane) but might not be comfortable to wear in hot weather due to the fabric. Wash and wear. I thought it would be too long (based on the model’s height) for me but it’s just above my knee. Body-hugging. The length and fit are just nice for me.

2. ZALORA ACTIVE A-Line Skirt (https://invol.co/cl8pprz), Size S, RM28.80
Slightly loose but it’s not a problem. Thick fabric, not transparent. Easy to wear. Zipper at the back. Quite comfortable to wear. This is my favourite.

3. ZALORA WORK Cap Sleeve Button Down Top (https://invol.co/cl8pq0z), Size L, RM29.90
The colour isn’t as bright as shown on the website. More brownish. It wrinkles after wash but it’s not too obvious due to the prints. Very light and airy.

4. ZALORA WORK V Neck Lace Detail Sleeveless Top (https://invol.co/cl8pq2l), Size S, RM23.90
The wrinkles and folding lines are still there after wash. Ironing will be needed for the first time I guess. The fabric (polyester) is very thin but it won’t show off your underwear because of the colour. On close inspection, it looks and feels cheap. Luckily the lace at the neckline isn’t too bad. The armpit holes are a bit big for me but not much of an issue. The fabric is not stretchable but can slip on easily for me. If I go for XS, I might have a hard time putting it on because there is no zipper or buttons. This is my least favourite.

5. ZALORA WORK Collarless Blouse (https://invol.co/cl8pqks), Size L, RM32.90
The fabric is thin but comfortable enough. It wrinkles after wash. The descriptions stated that it’s polyester but it doesn’t feel like it at all. More like cotton.

The video isn’t nicely edited but hopes the video is helpful 🙂

Happy Birthday to Me…

Posted on September 4, 2021September 13, 2021 By sweet surrender No Comments on Happy Birthday to Me…

One last one for the decade. New decade starts next year *LOL* Gosh… How time flies?!? 3 series will be over in one year time. Hitting 4 series… *HORROR* *LOL* Hmmm… I wrote a post on my Instagram but I cannot embed it here. Apparently WordPress.org doesn’t support such thing anymore sigh… So… I’ll just copy paste it here… Post link is here https://www.instagram.com/p/CTY_cRkvi6r/

Another year older… The last one for this series. New series will start next year. So much had happened for the decade. Wishes that I made early in the decade didn’t materialise. I’m glad they didn’t. I won’t want to be where I wished for at time like this. So… Careful with what you wish. I never make any wish until 10 years ago. It ended with disappointment after disappointment. Not a good idea haha… Just go with the flow and don’t force on it. That’s the way to go.

Moved to Adelaide to do my Masters for 2 years in 2011. In between, spent a month in Busan, thanks to a scholarship. Back to Kuching 2 years later. Joined 4 companies from small one with less than 5 staff to as big as 200 over staff. From private companies to GLC. From IT to education to hospitality to tourism. Visited 10 foreign countries. Everyone is doing well at home. What is there to ask for? It is all good. 🙏 Not gonna trade anything for it.

How long more are we going to stuck in this situation? I don’t know… If the chain doesn’t break, don’t dream about it. You’ll end up with deadlier situation as it is going to mutate all it wants. Rather than endemic, it will mean real “end” by then. So? Oh well… Kong pun bo yong…

No cake for this year. My order had to be cancelled due to the virus. Nothing appealed to me at the bakery too. As if I went to many. Just one only 🤣 Anyway, no problem. I’ll bake my own next week hahaha…

Happy birthday to myself and thank you for the wishes 🎂 Stay safe and have a good day.

Selamat Hari Gawai 2021

Posted on June 1, 2021 By sweet surrender No Comments on Selamat Hari Gawai 2021

Another year of stay-at-home Gawai. Hope there is no Gawai cluster. Enough to have Raya cluster. It is enough to cause havoc to the nation. So… Please… Do your part! Last Raya, there are people received open house invitation. This Gawai, the same thing too, even offered to provide transport to go Gawai with them. Com’on ppl! Ngaiti… Which part the SOP said you can allow outside people to visit you?! Are you going to destroy your whole kampung?! You see la… With these kind of people, it does not matter who are at helm, it will not make any difference, all will end as being accused as kerajaan gagal… 🤦‍♀️ Yet those gagal one are the rakyat themselves not practicing self-control.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2021

Posted on May 14, 2021May 14, 2021 By sweet surrender No Comments on Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2021

Wishing my Muslim friends a safe Syawal this year. It’s was a last-minute decision that our government had to make that there will be no visiting and crossing districts and states to celebrate. What to do? It’s all for our own safety. The hospital beds and ICUs are running out. Sarawak still refuses to follow the MCO order from the federal side. It’s not getting any better here and soon we’ll be seeing resources running low. Had just found out recently that a number of acquaintances are now in the hospital fighting for their lives all because of some decisions that some idiots decided to make and these people are paying for that egoistic decision now. Sigh… Whatever… Say so much also no use. Just hope for the best, stay safe and healthy, everyone.

By the way, since we can’t go visiting, can’t go anywhere, I dug out my baju kurung that I’ve never really worn. So… These photos are exclusively shown here on my social media accounts, you will never see me in such clothes in public. I just cannot wear them out haha…
