Just Some Imported Snacks

Posted on February 8, 2009February 8, 2009 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Just Some Imported Snacks

You see… I have nothing to update 🙁 So going to show you some snacks that I had last year end bought from Ta Kiong, tHe Spring and Sibu.

Bought this just to let the bill reach RM50 so that my dad could pay using credit card ;p Quite nice, a bit too salty but still nice. Just drink plenty of water.

My aunt bought this during her Sibu trip. I didn’t expect my dad will like it. *LOL* It’s rare that he likes to eat this kind of thing. Great for the ichty mouth looking for something to munch.

Bought this when I went shopping for junk food last year. I just grabbed it because it’s cheap and reminded me of the corn snack that I had when I was still a little girl last time. Used to buy it at the school canteen and nearby grocery shop. I bought two types, one is seaweed(the one you see here) and the other one is cream corn(no photo).

That’s all for now and enjoy your Sunday.

HELP ME! I have nothing to update anymore 🙁 Anyone wanna eat out with me? The problem is that no money to eat out also *LOL*

Maggi Tom Yam

Posted on February 6, 2009February 6, 2009 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Maggi Tom Yam

After the post about Mamee Tom Yam the other day, some did mention about Maggi Tom Yam. So I decided to try it out.

My verdict? I still prefer Mamee because I don’t like the powder that is used for Maggi. It’s spicier and a bit more sourish but because of the powder, I felt like I’m drinking MSG soup instead of Tom Yam.

Chong Qing Steamboat @ RH Plaza

Posted on February 3, 2009February 3, 2009 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Chong Qing Steamboat @ RH Plaza

Went for a steamboat session with Lee, Ann and Jee last night. Supposed to be a gathering but ended up only 4 of us… How pity. The steamboat last night was disappointing too! It’s no longer the same like it used to. It’s bad now 🙁 Refer back to these (1) (2) (3) and you will know what I mean, so different! I don’t think I want to go there anymore.

Here you go and you be the judge:

Left: As usual… No change in this.
Right: SUCH BIG CHANGE! The dipping sauce they used to give is no longer on offer 🙁 There’s even peanut butter on our tray hahaha… I didn’t use any of them because I’m still having cough and they just couldn’t invoke my interest.

For these, it’s still the same.

The meat… Changed a lot! If you see the previous 3 posts, it’s so much different 🙁 I didn’t take the picture of the plate of beef we ordered because no mood already see them like that.

For the 4 of us, the total was RM52 exclude drinks.

Tri-Garden Hot Pot Steamboat

Posted on January 17, 2009January 19, 2009 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Tri-Garden Hot Pot Steamboat

Went for steamboat dinner with my family last night. Supposed to just have simple dinner by ordering dishes there as there’s 10% discount with My Privilege Book. Then last minute changed plan and ordered their steamboat. Who can resist right? With such cold weather.

So we ordered Big Bone Soup(RM5) for the steamboat base. The soup is quite nice. They gave 3 types of condiments, sesame oil, belacan, and chili oil. I like the chili oil, it’s not that spicy (at least to me). The belacan was quite spicy. As for the sesame oil, didn’t touch at all.

Fish Ball(RM4) and Vegetable Set(RM8).

Lamb Slice (RM10), Chicken Slice (RM6), and Beef Slice (RM10). The beef slice is a bit too tough. The white part was so tough, couldn’t eat those. Felt a bit wasted ordered the beef slice.

Ordered two drinks and two bowls of rice. Total spent last night was RM44+ for 4 of us with 10% off for the food.

The place is not stuffy and quite clean. Prices are quite reasonable and I will go back again next time. Oh… They only open at night but close on 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month.

It’s located at Padungan, somewhere opposite of Tao.

Jacob’s Crak’s

Posted on January 9, 2009January 9, 2009 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Jacob’s Crak’s

My first encounter with Jacob’s Crak’s was quite sometimes ago when my mother bought it, she bought original flavour that time. I thought it’s just normal cream crackers but I was so wrong. I don’t know how to explain it hahaha…

Then I bought cream onion flavour to try. One packet costs RM3 something. I prefer this than the original one because it’s much more flavourful as in more salty ;p

Great snack to have when the mouth is looking for something to munch.
