Sukin Facial Moisturiser

Posted on March 15, 2011March 20, 2011 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Sukin Facial Moisturiser

Ann told me about Sukin Facial Moisturiser last year. I decided to give it a try. It’s not available in Watsons Kuching but it’s available in some Watsons in KL.

In Kuching, you can get it from The Health Circle at tHe Spring. It’s RM39.90 (if I’m not mistaken). I did some research and found out that it’s slightly cheaper in Singapore even after conversion. I didn’t get it in Kuching after knowing that Watsons at Bugis Junction does stock Sukin products. Since I’ll be there and didn’t need it that urgently, I decided to get it in Singapore. Was pretty lucky, they were having year end sales that time, there’s further discount and at the end this moisturiser only cost RM20+ after conversion.

This bottle is pump bottle which contains 125ml of moisturiser. However, there’s no lock for the pump. Luckily it didn’t pump out when it was in my luggage. I used it immediately that night after I bought it. I didn’t see any difference at all but it absorbed pretty quickly and I love the smell!

I’ve been using it for almost 3 months. Frankly it does nothing much, it’s a very basic moisturiser without paraben. The texture seemed thick but when it’s on the face, it’s quite light.

Sukin is organic product made in Australia which is very affordable. You know how organic products can be very expensive.

This daily moisturiser provides fast absorbing, deeply penetrating hydration that softens and soothes skin.

A lightweight cream which combines a delicate infusion of aloe vera, horsetail, nettle and burdock to soothe with skin healing rosehip oil, wheat germ, jojoba and avocado oil to promote healthy skin renewal and help minimise the signs of ageing.

Application: After cleansing, gently massage into face, neck and décolletage.

Suitable for all skin types.

I usually applied liberally all over my face, neck and décolletage at night. Then I would massage it until it absorbed. In the beginning, it was really nothing at all, as if it didn’t even work at all. Was kind of dissapointed with it but being me… Not wanting to waste, I decided to live with it until I finish it up. Only until now I’m feeling some difference on my skin. After applying it, the skin felt like it’s hydrated enough. Also, I don’t think I see any dry spots now. Haven’t seen any since I started using it. Good news I guess.

Overall, it’s an affordable organic product and it hydrates my skin. A very basic moisturiser. Great to use when you are suffering from some sensitive skin moment. If you are looking for something more than hydration, this is not for you. This is the down side so I have to use it with other products in my skincare routine. When I’m lazy, this is good enough for me.

You can check out more products from Sukin in their official website (www.sukinorganics.com.au).

I think I’ll be using a lot of its products when I’m in Australia since it’s quite affordable and won’t burn a hole in my pocket as I heard that skincare products in Australia are pretty expensive especially those imported brands and many people actually stock up their skincare products when they come back to Malaysia before heading back to Aussie.

Hi Irene, this one subject I am not familiar, ha ha.
But makes me think back to the old days of soap and water, Baby Johnson powder, ha ha.
    You stay easy, keep well.
    Lee.

Uncle Lee, hahaha… You sure don’t. I’m sure you’re still using soap and water minus the baby johnson’s powder ;p

Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
