Food & Tea Restaurant

Posted on February 18, 2008February 18, 2008 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Food & Tea Restaurant

Was a bit naughty the last two days, I tried to drink about 3 quarter glass of Tiger on the first day and less than a quarter glass of Heineken on the second day. Guess what!?!?! I wasn’t high, I wasn’t drunk but I got allergy attack!!! First attack, few hours after Tiger at a dinner function invited by Lee, felt ithcy in the middle of the night. Second attack, just a few sips of Heinekan at Lee’s house. -.-” Luckily wasn’t serious but it’s itchy but not that ithcy still can stand. What’s so nice about beer? I still don’t get it? No more beer for me. I can’t drink! Doesn’t taste nice too. Don’t like it.

I have lots of food post lining up!! This is another place that I went with my family few days before CNY. Went to Food & Tea, The Spring for dinner before we shopped for some CNY goods.

This should be a franchise. You can find them in KL, Johor and Ipoh. They served Hong Kong style food. Just like Causeway Bay at Crown Square just that they don’t serve dim sum if not mistaken.

In Cantonese, it’s called “Foon Hey Dei Cha Chan Teng”. In Mandarin it’s called “Huan Le Di Cha Chan Ting”. The English name is derived from the Cantonese pronounciation, just my guess but don’t you think it sounds similar?

Left: Longan With Sea Coconut(RM3.20), it’s chef recommended and Hot Chinese Tea(RM0.80). Nothing to rave about the drinks. They taste as it should be hahaha…
Right: The serviette.

Left: Chicken Chop in Black Pepper Sauce With Rice(RM8.20), only two stems of vegetable hahaha… It’s really spicy and peppery… 100% Real black pepper taste but I don’t like.
Right: Nissin Noodle with Sliced Beef(RM6.80), felt like eating beef instant noodle. -.-” The beef was really tender but not worth it. Guess what?!?! It’s indeed instant noodle! I just found out about it from doing some search in search engine, no wonder it sounded familiar. Definitely not worth it! I better cook this at home which is so much cheaper!!

Left: Claypot Seafood Porridge(RM6+, don’t quite remember the exact price), tasteless… Chef recommended summore!
Right: Claypot Ginger Sliced Beef Porridge(RM5.50), tasteless as well and they both tasted similar except different things in there.

I’m not likely to go back to this place again unless I’m not the one paying. Things are not worth the money and they charged service and government tax!!! Total 15%!! I better go to Food Bazaar in The Spring to eat than eating here.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
