I’ve seen many mommy bloggers doing digital scrapbooking for quite a while and I’ve been wondering how it’s done yet I never bother to find out.
Then last weekend I came across a link when I randomly blog hopped. It led me to a site related to digital scrapbooking. I thought there’s special software to do it but there wasn’t any. I read the tutorial and found out that all you need is Photoshop or other photo editing software.
ShabbyPrincess provides kits for digital scrapbooking for free(non-commercial use). You can download them, there are many types available.
It’s so easy to use. Basically the kit consists of various images/elements that you can place into the layers of Photoshop. Not rocket science at all hahaha… Silly me… Anyone that knows how to use Photoshop of photo editing software will not have problem doing it at all. The images/elements are in *.PNG
In fact you don’t have to download the kit if you know how to make your own designs. The kit is just to help make your life easier and for those that don’t know how to make their own designs.
I downloaded one kit called Harvest Spice that was released in October 2007 and here you go… I tried it out today. Took me 30 minutes coz I was doing some other things at the same time.
I know the photos are not suitable for this design ;p
Anyway, this gives me a gift idea for my friend’s wedding this year end. Since I’m invited to her wedding, I told her that I’m going to take lots of photos of her wedding ceremony and she said that she will pay me for it so I might as well do something nice for her.
I’m not so sure about the paying part, if she really pays me, then I’ll accept it. If she doesn’t then I don’t mind too. I told her I’ll just simply shoot, I’m just kaypo-ing, I’m just taking the photos for fun.
It will be my first time attending a church wedding. I’m not a pro photographer, far from that but she insisted to give me “ang pao” so I might as well do something better for her rather than only burn all the images(good and bad) for her.
Oh! This is not paid post!
I have been planning to download some of those software but didnt get down to it. Thanks for sharing…… I will explore more in Shabbyprincess
