The past 2 1/2 years, almost every single weekend, I’m surrounded by these girls. Miss those crazy days in classes with them. We had junk food while listening to lectures by passing the food around while the lecturers were busy lecturing ;p Non-stop eating every weekend. Sometimes we even had buah kedondong(Great Hog Plum) and sambal belacan, even kuaci in class! Imagine passing them from the front to the back, from the back to the front during lectures. Whenever there’s celebrations(CNY, Raya, Gawai etc.), there’s non-stop food supply.
Usually my gathering sessions were with male and female friends; attended classes with male and female course mates; all in the same age range.
With the girls, it’s a different experience from what I used to have. We ranged from early 20’s to late 40’s(single and married), coming from different professions and ethnicity but with the same love for children education. We even had a course mate in her 60’s but she’s from the earlier batch.
Last Sunday, only those in age range of early 20’s to 30’s turned up. Doesn’t matter the age difference, when we’re all together, there’s no such thing as age difference. We’re all in the same wavelength.
Last year, majority had graduated. Had been talking about gathering but it was never organized. Finally last Sunday we had our very first gathering at Delizze even though many couldn’t make it. As usual, we had so many types of food excluding food with colby jack cheese and mexican cheese. However, there’s food with grated parmesan cheese. I don’t quite remember what we had, I didn’t take photos of them, too many till lost track.
At the end of the gathering, they gave me a beanie and a scarf. Thanks girls! Surely will keep me warm. The beanie is so CUTE!
Till we meet again.
Irene, the most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart.
Have fun. You got great friends there.
Best regards,
Lee.
Uncle Lee, friends are really important in our lives. I’m glad that I’ve known them.
