The Sky is Smiling

Posted on December 2, 2008December 2, 2008 By sweet surrender 11 Comments on The Sky is Smiling

This was how it looked like last night around 7.30pm. I was told about it and quickly went to take photos of it, it’s not easy to take a good one. This is the best I could get.

Can you see the smiley face? I don’t think you will see this often. It did make me smile when I saw it last night. Did you see it last night?

Is it a sign? Hmm…

By the way, in Chinese it’s called “双星伴月”, translated as a pair of stars accompany a moon. ;p Apparently, many people in other countries saw it too. Apparently the two stars were two planets, Jupiter and Venus.

Interesting

How do you take the photo? Using DSLR, amazing you can minimize the shaking. I took so many moon photos before using DSLR but could not get a perfect shot. Maybe over here we have so thick cloud at night.

Just my Canon DIGITAL IXUS 80 IS, manual preset mode, 3x zoom, that’s all. No tripod, support my hands with window *LOL*

That is indeed cute. 😀 I’m more interested in the fact that the two stars are Jupiter and Venus though. Interesting fact!

I actually heard from my friend that over in US, the moon is upside down, thus giving a grieving face. Dun know how true it is.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
