Paypal Charges Fee To Premium Account?

Posted on November 13, 2007November 13, 2007 By sweet surrender 19 Comments on Paypal Charges Fee To Premium Account?

*CUSS* Enough of getting demotion of PR to my blogs! Now Paypal problem again! Enough that my earnings will be slowed down due to the PR demotion, now Paypal want to take a portion of my money also! SUCKS!

Actually blogged about it on 11th Nov in Money Money Come. That time Jimmy found out about it when he accepted payment from the advertisers. He was so shocked that based on the the fee charged, they had charged him more than the rate stated in Paypal!

Since I have no payments coming in the last few days, I can’t really say much. Today I got two payments coming in, and were deducted too!!! I’m using Premier account from day one I registered with Paypal. They never charged! GRRRR!!!

Here’s the rate… Sigh… Did they duduct mine correctly? I don’t know how to count(actually lazy…) πŸ˜› Count for me please hahaha…

Sigh… The value of USD is fluctuating also… Sigh… If they are going to charge like this, I will request for account downgrade! Sigh…

    eeeeeeee…
    they counted like tat..
    3.9% + 0.30…

    Very high lar!! -.-‘ πŸ™

Yeah.. I noticed that too.. Lol. Was about to blog about it..

Jimmy : The way the charge 3.9%+0.30 is because we are considered international border transaction. For the 2.4-3.4% is only applicable to those who are using a US based paypal account. Because they are based in US, so if they were to send payments to anyone in the US they will only be charged at that rate. Do hope that this would clear up some sense.

If a Malaysian were to pay us using Paypal, assuming that his account is using a Malaysian account, we will only be charged 3.4%+0.30. Yeah, pretty much sux don’t you think so πŸ™‚

hmm hmmm.. having second thoughts liaw..

it happened to all paypal users or just the premiums?

  8. sweet surrender says:
    November 13, 2007 at 4:04 pm

    Alex, must downgrade liau hahaha…

annna, only for premium account. If you stick to your personal account then there won’t be such charges.

  9. jimmychin says:
    November 13, 2007 at 5:08 pm

Alex, i know very sien now.. email to paypal ask them downgrade oledi.. but no reply = =

  10. Alex says:
    November 13, 2007 at 5:51 pm

I doubt I’ll be downgrading, but rather opened up another new account instead πŸ™‚ Because I still need to use that to accept payments for my eBay sales.

One person is allowed to have a premiere and personal account with paypal. But the only problem with having a personal account, you can only withdraw at max $500 a month. So if you guys wouldn’t mind, then shouldn’t be a problem πŸ™‚

personal account only can withdrawal max $500?
i just withdraw $1K and it has already completed.
i didn’t get charge on any fees also.

  12. sweet surrender says:
    November 13, 2007 at 5:59 pm

Don’t mind at all… I don’t want those amount to be charged and I’ll only withdraw one time in 1-2 months only hahaha… Summore max withdrawal is USD500 only.
The charges are too high, not worth it with the fluctuation of USD. If need to have premiere account next time, I’ll just register another account. Hehehe… For now… Downgrade it first *LOL*

Frankly.. if they charge a bot.. its fine.. as long as they don’t charge exorbitly… but of course..

being a Malaysian.. FREE is always the best. No matter if they gain losses.

cdason, for me that rate is too much -.-‘ if I’m earning few thousand USD per month I don’t mind but I don’t… I can foresee that my earning is going to drop due to the dropof PR hahaha…

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
