CNY day 5, had lunch at Patio. It’s situated opposite Dewan Masyarakat, I don’t know what it’s called in English, it’s the hall where Kuching Festival Food Fair is held every year.
Left: Menu.
Right: The interior. There were so many people just now. Almost full house. Don’t judge a book by its cover. We were kinda shocked to see so many people in there.
Left: Watermelon juice(RM4.50)
Middle: Orange juice(RM4.50), too sweet, too much sugar!
Right: Tom Yam Fried Rice(RM4.50), hmm… I waited for about 45 minutes for it. Goshhh… So long… There were too many customers and they seemed to be out of hand. The Tom Yam paste was kinda clotted here and there. However, the portion was big enough. I think they are in a hurry. The table next to us complained to the owner and left by cancelling their final order.
Pattaya Fried Rice(RM4.50), portion is big. Worth the money and the taste wasn’t so bad but we waited for this for half hour -_-”
I heard many people complain that Patio’s food sucks. I don’t know *shrug*. As least the two dishes we ordered weren’t that bad. The portion are big, the price are reasonable. It’s air-conditioned with minimal decors. What I don’t like is that they are taking too long to get the food out, even the drinks too.
It’s a place to hang out with friends but for meals, I don’t really recommend it unless you have a lot of time to waste.
sweet. will be visiting there soon. i’ll let u know if the food sucks :p
Hahaha… Let me know after you’re back from there 😛
this place sux :p
they must’ve got the cny business coz everything else was closed heh
I guess when kuching folks mention certain food at certain places suck… they do it comparatively with no consistency at all. For example, if you ask them to dine at a more expensive place that usual, they would expect the food to be MORE and tastes MUCH better.
Well, logically speaking, it doesnt mean that the more expensive the food is, the better it would be. I guess people will always use the price as comparison, and worth of money and value and all.
Crispy, hmm… Don’t know. Many places open for business already. Hahahah…
Robin, this is Kuching, what to do? 😛
