Still on day 2 (22/6/2013) in Paris. Went to so many places. My friend told me that we did speed travel, faster than speed dating *LOL*
After lunch, we just walked around and came to this lane. There’s so many coffee shops, bakeries, and florists. Can’t help it! The flowers were too pretty to ignore!
Then we came to Fontaine St Michel, a monumental fountain located in Place Saint-Michel in the 5th arrondissement in Paris. It was constructed in 1858–1860 during the French Second Empire by the architect Gabriel Davioud.
We continued walking…
Came across Bateaux Parisiens. It’s an excursion boat operated on the Seine river in Paris.
Walked again until we reached Notre Dame Cathedral. The queue was massive! Even going to the nearby toilet need to queue for at least 45 minutes! Lots of souvenirs shops around this area and beware of pickpockets! Lots of them!
More walking… We had a brief visit to the Tube Building.
After that, we headed back to the apartment for a rest and quick dinner.
Our final destination of the day, Eiffel Tower! GOSH! The crowd was really massive! Can’t believe that I’m here!
Amazing architecture! We decided to go up the tower, it cost EUR14,50/adult. The queue was damn long!
Our tickets that allowed us to go all the way up to the toppest floor. It was sooooo cold! Gosh!
We spent more than 5 hours there!
These are the views from the tower. From here, I could see that the city is very well-planned and systematic.
Going up took us a long time, too many people, going down too.
My brother managed to capture and witness the flickering lights (photo on the left) nightly at 10pm, didn’t know there’s such thing until my bro saw it by accident as he was out there taking photos while we stayed inside the tower to get some warmth, it’s too cold and windy out there!
By the time we reached our apartment, it’s over 12am. We managed to catch the last few metro back! Phew… What an exhausting day, a lot of walking!
Day 3 will come soon…
