WOW! Retail therapy really works! Gosh… Must not get addicted to it (-.-“). No way… No way… Cannot do that. Must control. If not I’ll go bankrupt.

Manage to buy some tops and a pair of sandals for CNY. However, bottom is a bit pain in the ass. 😛 Couldn’t find much that I like. All my clothings are less than RM30 hehehe… Amazing! This year I bought more but didn’t spend much. However, bought a pair of expensive sandals. I usually don’t buy RM45 and above sandals but I bought one today that cost me RM58.90 (-.-“) Ah… Don’t care! As long that I like it. I’ve been looking for new sandals for ages and looking at almost every reknown shoes shops in Kuching already, can’t stand the hunting anymore.

CNY coming soon… Have a bit of CNY mood now. Will start baking cookies this week and next week.

Why? Why always me? Why everytime when I almost got something, it’s always taken away from me? Everytime like that, 10 times 9 times like that. So unfair! Why I can’t get what I want?!?!? I worked so hard for them, put all the efforts into them, at the end they are taken away from me.

When I want something, I couldn’t get it instead those that I didn’t want keep coming straight to my face? Or should I just accept whatever that is coming to me? Take the second best instead of the best? NO WAY! Why should I do that?!?! I don’t deserve to be treaten this way! I only deserve the BEST nothing but the BEST! Maybe I had set the goals too high? WHAT!?!?! Is it wrong to set high goals? We’re supposed to work hard and always aim for the best? That’s what we are taught, no? Or we should just blame it on luck? If that so… Then I’m constantly having bad luck on just about anything that I do. Right?!!?!?

I feel so ANGRY, sad, desperate, hopeless, uncertain, negative… Negative… They are all NEGATIVE! It’s not one time but almost everytime! I hate it! When will this ever end?

Fighting Fish (Betta)

My parents bougth a fighting fish or Betta back yesterday from Sunday Market. According to my mom, my dad kept saying that the fish is nice. This is the latest addition in our family hahah… Don’t know how long will it last? Usually the fish we bought will not live long because we don’t really follow those rules.

After so many attempts, finally got this nice shoot. Good thing this fish didn’t move much. Last time when I took pictures of my mom’s goldfish, I had to use flash and I’m sure the flash really scared them, that’s for sure! 😛 Also I think the AiAF light might have scare those fish too hehehe… Whenever I point my camera to them, they will avoid the camera. I guess one of the reasons is that I had scared them to death *LOL*

Heong Peah

The Chinese are sure familiar with Heong Peah(“heong”=fragrance/nice smelling, “peah”=biscuits/cookies). Usually you can find it easily at places where they sell “bak poh” or “bak kua” or sell mooncakes. For me, no two Heong Peah taste the same. They are unqiue to the maker. They have slightly different taste for the filling and the crust texture.

The basic ingredients for Heong Peah are wheat flour for the crust, cooking oil, molasses, sugar, salt, onions and lenga for the filling. Some makers sprinkle sesame seeds on the crust for extra taste.

The crust is crispy and crumbles easily. It’s not easy to eat, usually I’ll ended up having all the crumbs on the floor or table or even on my clothes and my lips(it’s worst if u have lip balm or gloss on :P).

Ken bought two types back last year and gave it to us.



This is from Teluk Intan, Perak by Chin Lian Hoe. The diameter is smaller compare to the one from Yee Hup(see below) but they have thicker crust. However, they don’t crumbled as much as Yee Hup’s(see below). Filling wise they are not as sticky as Yee Hup’s(see below).



This is from Ipoh, Perak by Yee Hup. They are bigger than Chin Lian Hoe(see above) but the crust is thinner and crispier. I prefer this filling but not this crust because they crumbled a lot. They are thinner as you can see from the photo and have more spacie inside. They claimed that this one is baked with charcoal that is why the taste is different. I’m not sure whether Chin Lian Hoe’s is baked using charcoal or not.

Packaging wise, I prefer the one from Yee Hup.

Obviously, the winner for this is Yee Hup. *LOL* However, I don’t think this is fair 😛 You see… If you want to compare, then should compare both that are using the same baking method. Hahaha… Basically, I just want to introduce Heong Peah to you. Forget about the result 😛
