If I’m not mistaken, it was held just last year, few month ago, in November I think… Now it’s here again -.-” It started today and ends on Sunday at Waterfront. After meeting up with a client, we decided to go there to take photos to update our blogs hahaha… Who knows… It was such a disappointment, they haven’t really started it yet, they were still setting up. So, only manage to take some photos, nothing much, it was very hot too.
Left: The stage. They were still busy with the setup.
Right: I think this booth is more like promoting aquatic landscaping.
Left: If not mistaken this is catfish. One of them suddenly tried to jump out of the water.
Right: What fish is this? No idea. Hahaha…
Left: Salted fish. We noticed that many booths are selling salted fish.
Right: Gossh… We thought it’s plsma TV at first, the colours were so vivid. Actually it’s just aquariums ahahah…
Some colourful aquariums.
More aquariums.
Too bad, many aquariums were still empty so nothing much to see. Next up, we will be meeting our city’s mascot, cats!
it says there expo ikan hiasan and haiwan kesayangan… what other animals were there?
Hahaha… I don’t think you can see dogs there. Cats and fish and hamsters were what we saw that day. Ah well… Nothing extravaganza 😛
I went on Sunday & was so dissappointed. So many people yet nothing much to see. There are only small fishes & empty tanks. Can’t see those cats becos they only allow participants in. Sigh…
Yeah I went there too, on the second day.
1. The fishes are pathetic. The large plasma aquarium you mentioned had all the discus clustered on one side – they were so traumatized. And the entire place was full of fake plants! So ugly and out of fashion ages ago.
2. Even when there were real plants – they looked so sad – the lighting is too low. It’ll die eventually.
3. The cats are nice. I like most of them. When I went there, everybody squeezed in simultaneously so it was so hard to move. Some even put their hands in the cages and stroke the cats. Jeez. So uncivilized. They’re not their cats!
4. For a cat city, our supplies on keeping a cat are really… limited. No clumping litter, for one. Not much quality cat food to choose from… everybody seems to favour Whiskas, which… when I read the ingredients list, is just mediocre at best. There are far better kibble for cats.
5. Some of the cats in the exhibition are fat, the poor creatures. Some look scared and hid their faces. Poor thing!
6. The system for cat judging is flawed at best. The cats shouldn’t be put in cages and be part of public display where everybody can touch, molest, disturb the cats. In the US, a panel of judges will sit in a row, and what they will do is they will call your name, and you bring your cat up for them to examine. After that you take your cat away and it will less terrified and traumatized and will thank you for it.
Lots of criticism, yeah? The sad part? This is organized by the Ministry. This is the kind of message they want to send out to the public – that this is the way to keep fish, to keep a planted tank – they’re all WRONG! Wrong information, wrong techniques! All wrong!
Gabby, I didn’t go hehehe… Coz I hate crowds *LOL* also lazy lar…
Lux, hahaha… Let’s just say I have no idea on anything related to fish or cats or pets. I’m not into them so I’m pretty ignorance hehehehe… But those cats’ situation was really poor lar… No wonder on that day they lookeed so sien. 😛
Yeah… I look at the cats’ faces also, so kolian. Well, even if you’re usually ignorant about it, there’s no excuse not to learn and educate ourselves. Not to say what la… but not knowing is one thing. Know and then ignore is another matter.
Somewhere or somehow, don’t have the interest to learn at all hahahaha… So lazy 😛
