Terry’s All Gold Milk Chocolate has very nice packaging, gold box with embossed graphics! I really love the packaging.

The milk chocolate reminded me to Cadbury’s milk chocolate. In fact it competes with Cadbury’s according the the review.

I didn’t get to taste all of them. Based on what I had, they didn’t give my taste buds any long last impression. The only WOW was the packaging.

By the way, there’s quite a number of chocolate posts coming up in near future. I’ve been staying at home quite a lot lately(can consider every day except when need to run some errands or have classes to attend) due to work and studies so you can expect many such posts coming your way 😉

Went to hunt for dinner last Sunday at Kuching Festival.

Left: Gourmet Sausage, you have to queue quite long to buy the sausages, I think this is the most popular stall of all. The first time when I was there, there wasn’t such queue. I guess it’s because it’s good that’s why many people went there to buy it. I didn’t buy it till now, tasted it though. The texture is quite different I must say. Even the takoyaki stall next to it need to queue up too.

Right: You char kueh and some other Chinese kueh, this stall is operated by the same people that selling you char kueh at Sunday Market.


Left: Jellyfish(RM5), very big portion, got this from a new stall. We used to buy it from another stall and the portion was quite little compare to this. However, this one that we bought wasn’t very nice.

Left: Deep fried mushroom from another stall. Bought it for RM5/box. I think this was nicer and crispier.

Right: We will surely never miss sambal sting ray. Wanted to get it from the usual stall but no more stock so we bought from another stall. The sambal wasn’t spicy enough but not that bad.

Only bought few types of food, some not in the photos and this dinner cost us about RM50. It’s really not that cheap to buy food from Kuching Festival hehehe… Usually if RM50 we would have quite a decent meal in a restaurant for 4 of us.

Just for your information, Kuching Festival 2010 will end this weekend end. Hurry if you haven’t visit it yet. Not sure will I be going there or not within this week. We’ll see…

Merba Apple Pie Cookies

Merba Apple Pie Cookies came from UK also. Not sure we can get it here or not.


I was expecting it to taste like apple pie but no… More like Sultana biscuits LOL… Guess it’s due to the raisin and cinnamon. I couldn’t taste any apple in there.

Even though it’s quite sweet, I could eat it without complaining of it being too sweet. The sweet was not the sugary kind of sweet, not sure how to explain. Basically similar to Sultana biscuits except the texture was crumblier and sweeter.

Not bad, don’t mind having it again but no more ;p Only bought one packet.

Just a quick short update about Marks & Spencer Biscuit Curls that I tried few weeks ago. Ignore the typo in the photo ;p

I’m sure this reminded you of our kuih sepit. This one here came from UK, so it’s the UK’s version of kuih sepit.

It’s thick unlike ours, the texture was not the same too. Taste wise, a bit too sweet for my liking. First few sticks weren’t that bad but the more I had it the sweeter it got. It was not that bad but definitely cannot compare with our very own kuih sepit.

Hotel Chocolat Fruitiness

Finally, get to see chocolates from Hotel Chocolat again. Had it few years back and never see it anymore until now. The one here is Fruitiness.

Very striking colour I must say. There are three types, Kir Royal, Jelly Vanilla, and Lemon Truffle. I’m not sure sure which is which ;p My rough guess is fuchsia is Kir Royal, cream is Lemon Truffle, and fuchsia and cream is Jelly Vanilla. Kir Royal has a bit of wine taste, Lemon Truffle is sour, Jelly Vanilla is quite sweet.

The tastes weren’t that bad, just something different from your normal chocolate I must say but I will not have it for the second time. Tried it once is good enough 😉
