First went to Lok-Lok at Bank Hock Road was in 2008. Last Saturday, we made an impromptu decision to go there for dinner.

Left: Nasi lemak, not up to our expectations.

Right: The herbal tea. A popular drink there. If not mistaken, it’s luo han guo.

Only had 5 sticks as we didn’t know how much each stick was, didn’t dare to order too many. Just tried out some.

Overall damage that night was RM19. Hmm… It’s not cheap dining here I think. One or two sticks of lok-lok is fine but when you have more it will cost a bomb! Furthermore, it’s not filling to have few sticks of lok-lok.

Praline Burst (the long one, 1st, 3rd, and 5th row): Packed full of crunchy feuillietine pieces and velvety roasted hazelnut praline.

Orangista (the long one, 2nd and 4th row): Zesty orange blossom sweet milk chocolate ganache.

Caramel Chic (dark round): Deliciously buttery and oozing with caramel.

Velvet Melt (lighter brown on the left): Ecuador milk chocolate with a crisp fruitiness and delicate hints of flowers and herbs.

Ebony Melt (dark brown in the middle): Intensely dark Belgium Republic chocolate with fruity undertone.

Viva Vanilla (almost square cube): Rich mellow vanilla flavoured ganache complemented by the sweet milk chocolate.

I don’t really like them, doesn’t suit me, tasted a bit odd. However, I love the packaging.

I was so blur this morning. I kept thinking Raya is on Saturday until my friend knocked some senses to me. In fact I thought today is Wednesday hehehe… It’s actually tomorrow! Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all my Muslim readers and friends. For the non-Muslim, happy holidays!

I’m supposed to share this dates with you long time ago but forgot all about it. My sister bought it from Dubai. I have no idea what brand this dates is because the photo is too blur ;p I couldn’t even make sense of the wordings due to the blurriness.

This type is the with orange peel. My comment about it? I also don’t know how to comment. One word, sweet. Luckily the orange peel isn’t sweet.

All right. That’s all for now. Will try to enjoy this week to the fullest doing nothing because starting next week I will not be so free anymore and cannot guarantee a daily update for the next two months. Hopefully I’m still be one piece by then.

had my birthday dinner at Capital Seafood, ABC Food Centre. It was an impromptu decision that my dad made.

Left: Kangkong belacan. Lacked of belacan.

Right: Steamed fish, I don’t remember what kind of fish was it. I think is “jiot ban“, not sure what it’s called in English.

Left: O jien as usual…

Right: Steamed big prawn(if not mistaken this is called tiger prawn) with don’t-know-what-sauce, first time ordered this. I couldn’t catch what the person that took our orders said, it was too noisy. I’m hopeless when you ask me to identify a sauce especially in dish like this. The prawn was fresh and succulent. Quite nice.

The overall total was RM60+ for 4 persons excluding the drinks.

TJ Delight is located at Tabuan Plaza. Ended up here after we found out that My Chicken Restaurant was packed.

Just your typical kopitiam.

Left: Black Pepper Pork Noodle in Hot Plate (don’t remember the price), was expecting the colour to be darker, not this pale. It’s quite spicy, the more you eat, the more spicy it gets.

Right: Tomato noodle (don’t remember the price too ;p). At least not so bad compare to some other places.

Left: Hong Kong Style Cha Kueh (RM4), it was quite tasty when it’s still hot but when it was cold, suddenly it became tasteless hahaha… No idea why.

Right: Clay Pot Noodle (RM4), tasted like Cantonese Noodle (Kong Hu Char in Hokkien) but without the egg. I don’t think there’s egg in there, so forgetful these days.

Overall the foods were OK. Oh, you can find pork satay there.
