Day 5(13.01.08) – Genki Sushi

Posted on January 25, 2008January 31, 2008 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on Day 5(13.01.08) – Genki Sushi

Since we have a RM50 voucher for Genki Sushi, we decided to have our dinner there. When we said that we wanted to have our dinner there, our friend was kinda relunctant…

Don’t be fool by the kaiten, those rotating are only few types of sushi -.-‘ Later on, the whole kentai went EMPTY! It took them ages to get the sushi out! Summore, when it’s out, it’s all the same type of sushi. Sigh… Summore the sushi just doesn’t have the omph factor… *shake head*

You are required to make your own green tea.

Due to that, we decided to order from the menu. The sushi set is ordered by Josh hahaha… Josh as in Josh Lim from Advertlets. I asked him to come to meet us at One Utama. 😛

Hmm… I have no idea what are all the names hehehe… as they took the menu away. As usual I ordered soba set. Not nice… The noodle stuck together… Not strand by strand -.-‘

No wonder our friend was so relunctant to go there hahaha… The food isn’t nice too! I won’t go back to Genki anymore.

Day 5(13.01.08) – Cititel Express & Lunch

Posted on January 24, 2008January 24, 2008 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Day 5(13.01.08) – Cititel Express & Lunch

So… It’s time to check-out of Holiday Inn Glenmarie and go back to reality… Sigh… REALITY… So sad… 😛

It’s a Sunday, after we had our last breakfast at Holiday Inn Glenmarie, we check-out and waited for the shuttle to send us to Bukti Bintang. Waited and waited… No sign to be seen… Then suddenly the staff approached us to tell us that our transport was waiting there, I was like, “where? where?”, it turned out that they are not using the Holiday Inn’s van instead a Waja waited for us.

They sent us right in front of Cititel Express instead of at Imbi station because he said that he wanted to drop us at Time Square and we got a bit of shocked 😛 That time I didn’t know that Imbi and Time Square is actually nearby or the same place hahaha… He sensed our shock and asked us where to send us, so we said Cititel Express *LOL* A bit of shock from us and we got to save energy and money from Imbi to Chow Kit *LOL* Thank you very much for giving such a good service!

Check-in to Cititel Express, the room is RM78 per night. We decided to stay here because we thought that we could get free Internet usage in the room but hahaha… NO… Jimmy got the wrong information. Oh well… Have to go to shopping malls to online again… Oh well… Don’t care, at least I can get my own bathroom in the hotel will do. This area is not so safe, I wouldn’t recommend girls to stay here without guys with you.

The room is… Hmm… Looked clean. However, on closer inspection, the pillow and the sheet doesn’t look that clean -.-” Or it’s just stain that couldn’t be thoroughly cleaned. I dare not to even use their towel after seeing those stains *LOL* Good thing I brought my own. Guess what!??! We later realised that our room didn’t have windows hahaha…

You can see one mirror here…

The bathroom and toilet looked clean. Yes, it’s clean and dry. I took my own photo in front of the mirror, see the mirror at my back, just above the bed… You get mirror in front, you get mirror behind.. so many mirrors!

More photos of me with the mirrors. 😛 Mirror next to the cupboard, mirror in the bathroom and mirror just above the bed. One small rooms with so many mirrors, why? Hahaha…

After enough of camwhore, we took the monorail to Kelana Jaya to meet up with our friend. He brought us to lunch at Restoran Yat Yeh Hing at Petaling Jaya for chicken rice again! Goodness… Chicken rice again… The business here is so GOOD!

Left: My first time having “Buah Kedondong” (Great Hog Plum) juice. Not my first time heard of it, we have it in Kuching also but I never order it. Thought it would be sour and sweet but it’s so sweet! They put lots of sugar! You can find semboi in there also. My verdict, hmmm… Don’t really like it hahaha… I rather eat the whole fruit that is fresh or preserved.
Right: What is chicken rice without the chili?

Left: The soup is all you can eat 😛 Hahaha… You can scoop as much as you like. The soup tasted like a lot of MSG and pepper -.-‘ I drank a bit only. I don’t want to risk losing my hair when I’m back. Hahaha…
Right: BEAN SPROUT again! HELP! Hahaha…

The chicken and the rice. Hmm… It’s just chicken rice 😛 Hahaha… Sorry… Chicken rice is just chicken rice to me.

After that, we went to One Utama. It was so hard to find parking and we had to park at IBM building to go there. Wilson went there also and he managed to find me inside Add-On after several phone calls to locate us *LOL* I didn’t know the shop’s name 😛 I just told him it’s below FOS. Hahaha… Add-On is where I got all my CNY clothes, spent exactly RM100 in there! Hahaha… Done my CNY shopping all in One Utama from 2 shops. I got my clothes there 2 years back at the same shop also. I shopped quite fast hahaha… Then went to join them at Starbucks again… Hahaha…

Dinner post coming…

Day 4(12.01.08) – Pavilion

Posted on January 23, 2008January 24, 2008 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Day 4(12.01.08) – Pavilion

After we left Mid Valley, we went to Pavilion, another new shopping mall in KL. Just went there to see, see, look, look hahaha… It rained so heavily that day and flash flood happened. KL… What do you expect *LOL*

Right: Pavilion, the entrance.
Left: The Chinese New Year decorations are very nice. There was a performance on the stage that day.

Left: We went in from this area insted of the front door. I like the blue light luminated the walkway. On the both side are restaurants, pubs or bars.
Right: One of the floors. Don’t know how to shop there, so expensive hahaha…

Left: Had dinner at Food Republic, the food court in Pavilion. So many choices. You’ll be spoilt for choices. The food isn’t cheap also.
Right: Sweet Sour Chicken Fish(I think…) from Hot Wok. The Spring also have Hot Wok, wonder if it is the same or just another copycat?

Left: A type of Japanese noodle ordered by our friend.
Right: I order yong dao fu, damn! I so don’t like this stall! I said I want to order the set, fine! The girl asked me to pick 4 types of the ingredients, I picked and placed them in my bowl then gave it to her.

She came back and said, “Ah moi ar!! Ini terlalu besar, tak boleh! Ambik kecil punya!“(Ah moi, so big, cannot, must pick small one)

I was like damn blur and thinking to myself,”Why cannot? You said pick anything what!?!?”

I asked her where should I choose, she just said, “Mana-mana pun boleh tapi jangan pilih yang besar“(anyone can do but don’t pick the big ones) o_O”… *^&%#$%@ If that’s the case, please label your food lar! How can I know which one cannot, which one can, you said that one is big, I think it’s small, how? Or at least tell me which part of the section that I cannot choose!

I was damn tired and feeling sick already and you make me so confused summore. Kick your ass!

After Pavilion, we went to Sungai Wang, I only visited the some shops downstair, in and out, in and out, I bought nothing, don’t know what to buy, not in the mood to shop also. So tired. That’s all for day 4. Our friend sent us back to Holiday Inn. Phew… Luckily he didn’t get lost because he knows how to go hahaha… Else, it would be history repeating itself hehehe…

Day 4(12.01.08) – Lunch & Tea Break

Posted on January 22, 2008January 23, 2008 By sweet surrender 9 Comments on Day 4(12.01.08) – Lunch & Tea Break

We left AMBP Gathering: Coffee Therapy for Bloggers at about 12.30pm and went for lunch at Satelite Restaurant(This is the name given to me by Wilson, I forgot to take photos of the signboard), Jalan Gasing. If not mistaken it’s a place that is popular for its chicken rice.

Left: So busy chopping chickens and scooping rice for the customers.
Right: Soup. Eww… I hate the green thing in the soup hahaha… I didn’t drink it.

Left: Chicken rice without the chili is not chicken rice 😛
Right: I asked for green tea(tin one) they said they didn’t have green tea, I think they thought I refer to teabag green tea. Hahaha… Whatever, they offer to give me cold Chinese tea.

Left: Bean sprout… I don’t like bean sprout… Still have to eat… Cannot waste food. I noticed that there are many bean sprouts in KL food -.-‘ Ever since my first day in KL(at Sunway Pyramid), I’m being served with bean sprouts already -.- Never in my life I’m being served with this continously hahaha… I still don’t like it 😛
Right: Meatball soup, not so bad 🙂

Left: Rice, duh~ No rice how to eat chicken rice.
Right: Roasted and steamed chicken. Ok lar… Not bad. I’m just not a chicken rice girl hahaha… Therefore, I’m not really that picky when it comes to chicken rice, as long that it can be eaten.

One more thing, I notice that KL soy sauce are all sweet type, even the one for the chicken rice. Hahaha…

After lunch, we went back to The Gardens. While Jimmy was busy entertaining his “fans” *LOL*, I had no bloggers’ meet of my own because I’m not popular hahaha… No one came. 😛 Only Wilson. It’s my first time meeting LeeTeeng also, that, she came for Jimmy not me hahaha… Happened that she’s there waiting for her friends so she came to join us while waiting.

So… Wilson and I sat at the corner. I didn’t know what he’s doing there though… I was there onlined with my laptop, he was sleeping I guess :P. Hahaha… Then he went to order a drink for himself, I didn’t want any, I had my own water with me. I forgot what he ordered.

He also ordered two type of pastries. One is tuna(right) and one is chicken(left), if I’m not mistaken. His appetite was so good -.-‘ I was still full from the chicken rice *LOL* I tried a bit of each only and hehehe… I don’t really like them because (1)I’m not hungry, (2)I’m into this type of food. Hahaha… So picky 😛

After that, I excused myself to the washroom, then diverted over to Mid Valley to do some shopping at Sasa and left Wilson with my laptop there playing poker/blackjack on Facebook. I think I went off for less than 2 hours until Jimmy SMS-ed to tell me that we’ll be going to Pavilion in a short while as his friend was almost there already.

While on the way out of Starbucks to the car park, someone called my name several times and *BLUSH* Somebody recognised me!! 😛 Hello Louiss, nice to meet you hahaha… After a short chat with him, off we went to the car park and off we went to Pavilion. At least somebody recognise me 😛 I forgot to take photo with him!!!

Day 3(11.01.08) – Klang

Posted on January 19, 2008April 5, 2009 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on Day 3(11.01.08) – Klang

Went to Klang, it’s all about food. Since it’s night time, can’t really do much except eat, eat, eat hahaha… Thanks to Vincent and his friend(whom prferred not to be named, if I’m not mistaken :P). Oh.. Remember to get your customised Valentine’s Day presents from them at Heartbeat.

First stop, bak kut teh. Klang is famous for its bak kut teh. I’m not very sure of the name of this shop, in Chinese according to the signboard is “Chung Lu Wa Bao Rou Gu Cha”. You see Chinese, Indians there enjoying the bak kut teh except malay because it’s pork!

In Klang, it’s customary to have bak kut teh with Chinese tea, I don’t think you will see this practice in Singapore or other part of Malaysia. The rice is not plain rice like what you got in Kuching, it’s called “oil rice”, just like the rice you get when you order chicken rice. It’s so smooth and “slippery” hahaha… Smelt nice too.

Left: Braised chicken feet with mushroom, yum… Hahaha…
Right: The main dish! Bak Kut Teh from Klang! It’s different from what you get from Kuching, you either get tasteless bak kut teh here or very strong taste bak kut teh. In Klang, this bak kut teh is quite sticky, as in not that watery. I’m not sure about other shops in Klang that sell bak kut teh though, this shop’s bak kut teh is quite sticky.

After bak kut teh session, we went to the a roadside stall that has been operating there for 30+ years. It’s the herbal tea that they claim it’s good for health and some sickness like cough, flu, fever etc. We drank the one to cool ourselves down after bak kut teh. It’s so thick! They warned us that it’s very bitter but hehehe… Not that bitter after all, well… For some people thet might not be able to stand it but it’s OK for me sap sap sui After you drink the bitter tea, they will pour the sweet tea to clear the bitterness. The cooling sensation in ur chest and throat was really nice. Don’t ask me about the exact location though 😛 If you want to try, you can just go around Klang to ask people about it, they will know where.

Next, we went to buy muachi. They also sell tang yuan, you know the thing when you eat when the Chinese are celebrating Winter Solstice. Since we’re full, so we didn’t dine there. It’s a roadside stall also, very popular in Klang. Their business is so good! WOW! The muachi is nicer to eat when it’s hot but well… Nothing special, it’s just muachi with lots of grinded peanuts. As for the tang yuan, we didn’t try as we were too full. The ingredient for tang yuan and muachi are the same. Tang yuan is served with syrup and muachi is served with grinded peanuts.

They brought us to PKGR, hehehe… I don’t remember the full name. This is where people like to fish and hang out at night. We had our muachi there.

After we’re done with our muachi, they sent us back to hotel and we got lost along the way because the hotel is so seclude *LOL*. At the end had to call the hotel for direction.

Oh we did take a glimpse of the “castle” in Klang also hahaha…

Day 4 coming soon…
