Hehehe… Notice it or not? After 5 posts and still no sponsored post yet. 😛
If I’m not mistaken, today is the opening ceremony of Tabuan Jaya Chinese New Year Bazaar because when we had dinner at KFC, those “big people” went to KFC to have their refreshments at the second floor, the whole of second floor was reserved. At first I thought it’s the opening ceremony of the newly renovated KFC hahaha… The lion dance troop was following too but the lion dance was over, I thought I can take photos of lion dance as I had never taken any before and never blog about it too. Always missed the chance. Hmm.. I think I must go hunt for lion dance this CNY hehehe…
After our dinner, we walked around the bazaar and it’s was almost deserted. I was expecting heaps of people shopping there but see this…

I heard that it’s quite quiet at Padungan too. Business isn’t that good today.

For the Chinese, when they are announcing their engagement, they will give friends and relatives boxes/packets of “engagement sweets”. Usually there are two types of sweet in the box/packet. One is the hard type and one is the powdery type. The hard type is made from hard toffee and peanuts. The powdery type is Kacang Tumbuk/Kong T’ng. They are both wrapped in red coloured papers that usually would stain your hand red. However, nowadays some people don’t use these instead they are replaced with sweets and chocolates packed nicely in boxes or gift wrappers/bags.
