Christmas Tree @ Travillion By Celcom

Posted on December 16, 2007March 7, 2008 By sweet surrender 15 Comments on Christmas Tree @ Travillion By Celcom

Christmas is coming soon! Kuching is not that quiet after all. You can now see the city’s first giant Christmas tree at Travillion. Didn’t pay much attention to newspapers these few days. Only knew that there was actually Christmas tree light up ceremony last night. We decided to go and have a look. We also heard that Frankie was performing that night. We were not in time to see the fireworks. I heard the fireworks from my house hahaha…

We just went there for fun, didn’t expect to see “snow”(it’s just form) there but when we were there it’s bubbles. No more foam. Here’s the Christmas tree:

So many people but not as many as sardine packed hahaha… We didn’t have to squeeze, there are ample space to move around hahaha…

Up-close of the tree. It’s sponsored by Celcom. You can actually win RM10,000 by guessing how many “x”(those purple “spots”/”ornaments” on the tree) on the tree by sending your SMS. I’m not sure the format to send but the number to send is 23456 hahaha… Besides the tree, there’s also santa and his reindeers!

Bubbles! Bubbles! Lots of them, never take picture of bubbles before, so now here’s the chance.

Left: While we’re busy merrying, don’t forget to do your part for charity by donating to the wishing well. The proceeds will go to SCCS.
Right: Tim and JF with their new DSLRs!!! I want one also!!! 😛

Starlight performing. Frankie sang too last night! Ish… Ish… Ish… Edwin only noticed Tim and announced that the blogger is here! We were there so much earlier than Tim, sitting right in front taking photos and videos. 😛 Well… Can’t blame him really because Tim’s hair is so unique that it’s easy to spot hahaha… Also he resembled DJ68! Hahaha…

(L-R)
Edwin entertaining the crowd and we all sang We Wish You A Merry Christmas.
He’s good but… Too much of something is bad…
Sexy dance.

(L-R)
I can’t remember her name, she could sing pretty well.
The two sisters singing SHE’s Superstar but halfway the show was ruined(at least to us) by you-know-who. Sigh…
Breaking, popping, hip-hop…
Don’t know his name also, don’t see him like this 😛 he could sing really well. Just close your eyes and you thought you’re listening to CD!
Chirstmas poem recital. Poor girl… No one paid attention to her and many left -.-

“Game session”. We asked JF to go up hahaha… See how tall he is! Guess what he got after that? A BIG BAG with a pen and keychain -.-‘ *LOL*

After that, we went to camwhore again at Christmas tree. No more bubbles. I didn’t have the photos yet. Will wait for them to be sent to me.

Oh… Last night my camera gave me a HUGE SHOCK! My delete/zoom out button jammed halfway during the performance! -.- Means I couldn’t delete photos and after I zoom in, I couldn’t zoom out, only way was off and on it again. As to delete, I used Gladiezz’ camera to delete some photos to free up some space. Why? I deleted too quickly and jammed the button! -.- Lesson of the story, be gentle to the camera, don’t abuse it!

Then, when camwhored at the Christmas tree, my camera couldn’t on!! OMG! Fellow bloggers all flocked to me and they asked me to try to check the battery, I relunctantly checked it, took it out and insert back, finally it can be on! Phew… This camera is almost 2 years old, please don’t die on me like the previous one… I need you for my trip next year! I have no budget to buy new one summore! I need the budget for a new laptop! Please… Please… Please don’t die so fast, at least last for another year or two. I hope…

I went home and I told my bro, he tried to press the button and VOILA! What a luck! He unjammed(is there such word? Hahaha…) it! Phew… Save me a trip to Canon tomorrow, also save money for the “repair”.

Happy Sunday!

Posing for Anna, she took my picture with Allen’s camera and this picture is from Jimmy.
Charlene & I. See “my” DSLR! Allen left it with me and he went back to work. -.- So scary… Have to take care of his baby carefully. The camera is bigger than my face 😛 will show you in the next post hahaha…

Charlene, me, Rose, Angel, Anna.

(L-R)
I’m the first one to take picture with Alex 😛 Hehehe… kiasu
Ben with his “signboard”.
It’s Alwyn’s birthday that day!

Left: T-shirt but I forgot to ask Alex to sign it -.-
Right: Some flyers for Alex to sign. Hehehe… What to do? I didn’t win anything…

Allen’s victory! I don’t have 🙁 He got the 776th copy of the 1000 copies. I managed to kidnap it and keep it as my own for several hours before he came to pick up his baby, his book and his poster.

Part 4 coming… Still collecting photos from various sources 😛

Make My Heart Beats

Posted on December 14, 2007April 5, 2009 By sweet surrender 14 Comments on Make My Heart Beats

You know, sometimes I logged into Smorty to see whether there’s any task to write or not and there’s always some tasks about personalised throw pillow but I always cannot take it because they only want those that are based in the US to write for them. HATE IT! I did browse the site to see what they have to offer because it’s very interesting. I was thinking whether we have this kind of services in Malaysia or not? I came across it before in shops that can help you order it but how about online? Lazy girl like me don’t like to go back and forth wasting my time and energy. Petrol is expensive too!

Then, few weeks ago I came across Heartbeat and found out that we do have website that sells personalised gifts! I’m sure you always came across this jigsaw puzzle thing where you can custom made a jigsaw puzzle from your photos. I’m not interested in that because I’m not a jigsaw puzzle person, it’s too common also! I’m more interested in personalised throw pillow, mugs, keychains, and tiles. YES! They have it all!

Usually if you want them you have to order them in bulk from those printing or souvenir companies especially the t-shirts and keychains, they don’t do one or two pieces. Heartbeat can do that, in small quantity as little as one. So with Heartbeat I can guarantee you that you can make your loved one heart beats! Hahaha…

You can get 10% discount and free delivery if you order your personalised gift now. It’s only for limited time only. Why don’t you take this opportunity to order your Christmas or Valentine’s gifts? Even for your coming wedding to add some uniqueness to it.

OH WAIT! My post is not finish yet!!

You can now win some prizes from Heartbeat. Make sure you submit your most creative couple photo to them. I know somebody is joining it with one of his girls, so if you think you can beat them, join now! The contest is going on now and will end on 21st January 2008.

Oh… I’m in the process of ordering the X’mas mug. When I got my mug, I’ll show it to you hehehe…

Meet Alex Wong – Part 2

Posted on December 13, 2007December 13, 2007 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Meet Alex Wong – Part 2

…Continue from Meet Alex Wong – Part 1

Here comes Alex!

Left: Presenting his autographed CD and poster to Irene of Tao.
Right: Uglymen interacting with Alex. Music people talking music of course hahaha… After that I quickly approached Alex and ask him to take photo with me and also forward someone’s regards to him *LOL* Will show you the photo in later post. I almost bit my own tongue -.- Too nervous, didn’t know how to start the conversation with him hahaha…

Left: Guess how much is the bucket!??!? My guess was RM20 *LOL* The real value is RM2000! Faint… Why? The paint is Mercedes Benz’s paint!
Middle & Right: One of Uglymen members saying that it’s “RM0.00” hahaha… His expression is so funny! Even wrote their URL(uglymen.net) on his card 😛 Free publicity hehehe…

Tim & Cynthia guessed RM2000 and RM1999.90! WOW! They won!!

Left: Blind photography. I teamed up with Allen but lose the game, Pazuzu teamed up with Angel and lose too. Got a poster though but it belongs to Allen. SilverIsle(the one in green t-shirt, came all the way from Alor Setar, how lucky, great timing! She was here to cover the Rock Party on Saturday.) was there too! She got second place.
Right: The winner! ARG!! I want that book! Only 1000 copies printed! 🙁 No luck.

Left: Alex autographed Allen’s poster.
Right: Another game that required camera. Compact cameras cannot use one! Only can use DSLR. Need very fast speed. I didn’t mange to shoot his face, we were given 3 chances and the only shot I got was this. Hahaha… Allen won this game and he got that book of Alex!! ARG!!

YAY! He sang! OH MY! I’m sure somebody will faint if she’s there. It’s the first time Alex and Aimi performed “One Day” without a complete band. WOW! He sang 3 songs and each song has story of its own.

Still can’t get enough of him? Hehehe… Next up… camwhore session!!!

Banana Split Ice Cream & Western Cafe

Posted on December 12, 2007December 19, 2007 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Banana Split Ice Cream & Western Cafe

For those of you that had tagged me, I decided to delay the tags until next year when I go for my KL & Genting trip. I will have them auto publish everyday until I’m back. Hehehe… Thanks for the fillers for my 6 days trip hahahah… At least my blog won’t die for 6 days. If I have the time to update about my trip I will update about it also because I will have Internet access for the 6 days.

WOW! I should update this last week! Only manage to update it now. I’m sure you are here to see what are the places that I went for food but instead I’ve been bombarding you guys with all those events that I had attended these few weeks. Let’s have a change of topic for a while hehehe…

Banana Split Ice Cream & Western Cafe is situated at 3rd Exchange. I knew about it from the newspapers and always wanted to go but it’s out of the way. Finally managed to go after meeting a client one week ago.

The things there are really affordable. The most expensive food on the menu is the rib eye steak that is only RM20!!! WOW!

Left: Sundae-Chocolate Topping(RM3), not bad.
Right: Banana Split (RM5.80)
We were given a glass of cold water also. This is the plus point! I love places that serve their customer with a glass of plain water regardless of what they order.

Oh ya… The photos were taken with my K800i because I didn’t bring my camera out that day. That’s why the colour is quite dull.

I will go back for their western food one day! 😛 Hehehe… I’ve been craving for nice steaks these days… *drool*

By the way, thought that many new eateries opened already but not yet.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
