Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion

Posted on July 13, 2010July 14, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion

I was hunting high and low for Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion when I saw the advertisement on TV. I got to know about it from the Taiwanese beauty show(Nv Ren Wo Zhui Da, 女人我最大), they mentioned that one bottle is sold every 4 seconds in Japan. Interesting… Every time I happened to come across Guardian, I would definitely look for it and couldn’t find it for months! Saw the moisturizing milk but not the lotion.

Then finally one day, Ann told me she saw it at Guardian so I asked her to help me buy it before it’s gone from the shelf. I’m not sure whether before that it was selling like hot cakes until no more stock or it had not reached here. After Ann found it, I found it at Guardian too few days later. I guess it happened that the stock just got in, the stock was never here until that time.

Few days ago, I popped by Guardian and there’s no more stock on the shelf except the moisturizing milk. *gulp*

This bottle costs RM40.90, 170ml. Since I have a small face, I only need 2 drops each time. I was expecting it to be very sticky and took quite awhile to absorb but it didn’t.

In fact, you don’t have to pat so hard like what the girl did *LOL* It absorbed quite quickly for me, could be due to the dehydration of my skin. I have dry skin. Everywhere I go, any beautician will surely “attack” me with my dry skin problem *LOL* That’s why when I found out about the availability of this product in Malaysia, I was so eager to get hold of it. I usually don’t spend more than RM30 on skincare product but for this I’m willing because I only use a little every time which means it will last me quite long.

I’ve been using it for half month already(day and night), my sis was sharing it with me when she’s back. The bottle is still quite full. Really no smell at all not even a little chemical smell that you will usually get from fragrance free products.

I used it after cleansing, it’s basically a toner. In Japan, lotion refers to toner, milk refers to moisturizer. My moisturizer absorb fully and left my skin smooth to touch instead of feeling a layer of stickiness or greasiness that I usually felt after moisturizing. My t-zone is less oily too. There isn’t any breakout too.

If I’m hardworking enough:
Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion -> Garnier Aqua Defense Refreshing Toner(for extra moisture since this toner can also serve as face mist) -> thick layer of Garnier Aqua Defense Essence

Sometimes, especially if I had makeup on that day as we all know that toner with cotton can help in removing those leftover impurities after cleansing:
Garnier Aqua Defense Refreshing Toner -> Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion -> thick layer of Garnier Aqua Defense Essence

Here’s a misconception that I found out from many people, do take note:
You MUST apply moisturizer after this lotion. MUST! Super Hyaluronic Acid doesn’t moisturize your skin instead it preps your skin to absorb moisture which is from your moisturizer and lock the moisture. That’s why there something about locking the ocean(you can find it in their website) in the advertisement. It helps in locking moisture, it does not moisturize on its own. So if you do not feed it with the needed moisture, it got nothing to lock and serve no purpose at all. It was also mentioned in Nv Ren Wo Zhui Da aka 女人我最大 too, they kept highlighting that you must moisturize after using Super Hyaluronic Acid.

So far I’m quite happy with this product. We’ll see how it goes in the long run. Hopefully I don’t jinx it ;p

Oh ya… Go join the Facebook group and get free sample, I’m waiting for mine, hopefully it will arrive 😉

Girl Stuffs, Review It!

Why do you want to dig that far?
