Having Problems with Streamyx?

Posted on January 6, 2007January 7, 2007 By sweet surrender 1 Comment on Having Problems with Streamyx?

Ok people! I know many of us is having problem with Streamyx. Everyone, I’m sure everyone had at least one or many times of bad experiences with Streamyx. They are the one and only service provider for our broadband nationwide. If there are other companies coming in then I’m sure all the customers will switch service provider IMMEDIATELY!

The problems that we always have with them are:
1. Frequent disconnections.
2. You don’t get the speed you pay for.
3. Long downtime.
4. Lousy customer care service.
etc. (I’m sure you have more to share)

Due to this, we are starting a campaign/petition to make sure that we get what we pay for. Click here to sign the petition. We would like to get as much signatures as possible and hopefully we can achieve something for a better “world”. Help me spread the words please and thanks πŸ™‚

The petition page is in Chinese, don’t worry, I will translate it so that you can join in too. After I translated it, there will be English version as the person in charge will copy my text over. Actually I’m in charge of the translation part πŸ˜›

Here’s the translation:

10K signatures required :-
– Provide better customer services
– Improve speed and performance
– Less disruptions
– Get what we are paying for etc.
p/s: your e-mail and IC no. will not be displayed.

Let me share my experience with you:
I couldn’t connect to the net using Streamyx on 19th Dec 2006. Then I called Streamyx Customer Care on 20th to ask them about it. Everytime I called them, they will always give the same answers such as “the problem is at my side”, “computer settings problems”, “modem problems”, “splitter problems” etc. After that, I checked everything and even replaced all the related devices to new ones to test but still couldn’t connect to the net.

I called them again to ask them to send someone over to check but they insisted that they won’t be sending any and suggested that the problem was with my phone line. Therefore I called TM to send someone over to check my phone line and it turned out that there’s no problem at all. So the TM people called Streamyx on my behalf to ask them to send someone over to check for me. I waited and waited for few days but no one came. Due to that, I called them everyday to pressure them to send someone over, the funny thing was that everytime I called, I was given different answer. One moment, they said that the problem is at my side, the other moment, they said that their cabel was having problem. I waited and waited and finally the line is back on 4th January 2007 but there is still one problem, the line is crawling slow!

I’m sure you ever encounter this kind of problem and always have no one to turn to. Let’s support this petition!

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
