The long awaited day is here! We went to Gyeongju. It was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla (57 BC – 935 AD).

Left: Some of the snacks given to us for the road trip.
Right: Love the view! On the way…

Bulguksa Temple is the head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism in the North Gyeongsang province in South Korea.

Frozen lake at the temple.

Toilets for gentleman and lady.

Another frozen lake.

Statues at one of the entrances. Scary looking!

It’s winter, even the river and stream were frozen.

Heading to the main building. To be continued…

Hi Irene, wow! I love these pics. Well taken too. Bet it was quite chilly too.
I have never been to these places.
When I was there, strictly business. Arrive, business, back to hotel, next day return home.

So? You had kin chi? I love it.
    Have fun.
    Lee.

Uncle Lee, thanks 🙂 It’s winter, quite cold. I had kimchi at least 3 meals a day when I was there! *LOL* Came back suffered a bit, ended up went to Chinatown to get some kimchi ;p

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
