GOODNESS!! Can’t believe this is happening again! Remember I got a new laptop (Acer Aspire V5-471G-53334G50B) few months back? To be exact, not even 2 months! Now… I have one whole line of horizontal dead pixels on my screen!
I still have so much posts pending, Europe trip, product/food reviews, and the just concluded Melaka trip. I guess with this problem, updates is surely slowing down again!
Why oh why? All my previous laptops surely will have dead pixels problem, NEC (one day after getting it), Dell (after using it for years), now Acer (less than 2 months using it). Be grateful though, there’s warranty and I heard the service is quite fast for Acer *finger crossed*.
Now, have to back up, back up, and delete some information before sending it for warranty claim. Hopefully can get it back a.s.a.p. Gonna ask them to change the keyboard too, one of the Ctrl keys isn’t that smooth.
sigh…
ez vina, yes… sigh…
Hello Irene, regret read your problems. how come you experiencing all this?
First time I read these problems with several laptops.
Hope it can be resolved soon.
My suspicions may be caught a virus? Today lots of viruses sneak in via FB….and blank out people’s computers.
Make sure your computer has good security cover. And get an external HD for backup too id you have not.
Best regards.
Lee.
Hi Uncle Lee, thus problem has got nothing to do with security, it’s just common issues with electronic gadgets due to the liquid in the screen. I’m always the unlucky one with electronic gadgets, every single one that I owned surely will have problem no matter what, always jinxed 😛
Hi Irene,
I was told by a salesperson that, Acer product may not last long like other brands but it’s easy to get spare parts.
I own an Acer now, but I’m really satisfied with the performance. I hope you can get yours settle soon. So for now, you might have to use your smartphone for reading and leaving comments.
Willie, yes… I never want to get an Acer but now budget is an issue. My NEC lasted me 5 years and changed to Dell because it’s too slow already, then Dell lasted about 5 years too, had to changed coz motherboard was dead and screen with dead pixels. Now this one, let’s see how long it will last this time 😀
