Note: If you found this post because you wanted to look for Montessori teaching approach, then I have to disappoint you as I’m not a Montessori practitioner.
Hi people! This is the new category for my blog, Practical Life. This new category will be where I share my experience as a student teacher. Yeah! You read it right! Irene, a teacher?!?! Believe it or not?!?! Surrounded by children below 6 years old! OH DEAR!
Starting tomorrow until 13th November, I will be doing my internship at a local kindergarten. Not going to tell you where ;p In fact, I kind of dreading this practical but what to do… I have to do it to be able to graduate. I hope I will still be in one piece by the end of the practical. Must not fall sick.
Gonna be very busy these two months, might not be able to do a daily post by then. Can no longer sleep late and wake up late. Dread to wake up at the ungodly hour(at least for me, before 6am -.-“) too. Back home have to complete all the paper works related to it, then have to work, do my assignments, and do IELTS revision else semester exam revision(in October, no exam break some more! Crazy…). I don’t have that much time because one whole morning will be gone!
Even though I always wake up late, 9 or 10am, I will do my revision for exam right after I wake up. Then in the afternoon, I will do my works and assignments until 12-1am. Now… Morning totally gone! Then at night have to sleep early(before 11pm, would be better at 10pm but it’s too early) else I will be a zombie and cannot perform well. Have to be in very tip top condition especially dealing with children! Very energy and mentally draining!
Aiyoyo… It’s like going back to work after 5 years of “rest”. Something totally different from what I’ve been doing, everything start from scratch. No pay also. Worst, I’m not the kind that like to work under people and dread the routine of going back and forth to work. That explains why I prefer to work from home and be my own boss.
Look at the bright side, it’s only 8 weeks, time will fly very very fast(I hope…). Hopefully I will be able to get the hang of this new “job” as soon as possible. Have to teach, have to do observation, and have to help around. Would be dead tired in the afternoon, wonder how to work, do assignments, and revision by then?
Two crazy and busy months… Here I come.
