From Woodlands To Burswood

Posted on December 21, 2007December 21, 2007 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on From Woodlands To Burswood

We went woods hopping two nights ago hahaha… Actually some blogger friends suggested we go to Popwave to sing karaoke but it’s fully booked! Also some complaint that it’s expensive. So ended up at Woodlands.

(my photo is lousy hahaha…)
Reached Woodlands at Ban Hock Road at 7pm+, Gladiezz, Angel and Pazuzu were there already. It was empty, only us. That’s our main reason to go there early because when you don’t have a room and need to sing in public, you have to wait for your turn. They will rotate from table to table. This means, if there are many tables, you have to waste a lot of time to wait for your turn. They had even ordered drinks. I ordered too. Sigh.. wasted RM5 because we later found out that they only started karaoke at 9pm! *CUSS* Wasting our time picking the songs and wasting money ordering drinks.

(So blur -.- Super lousy.)
We left and went to Burswood next to Crown Square. We quickly settled down and choose our songs. I’m really bad at singing, I only know chorus part only for almost all of the songs -.-. I’ve not been singing for more than 10 years already. I’m really rusty now. Those pitches that I used to be able to reach are now unreachable. I don’t sing in public or perform on stage in these 10 over years but just simply sing along with the radio when driving or just hum hum to myself.

I didn’t order any drink here because it’s not worth it, any non-alcoholic drink costs RM9 per glass. Summore I don’t drink beer so I didn’t drink anything but still OK as I did order drink and drank it already at Woodlands. I could still stand it.

So we sang, sang, sang until later more and more people came, we had to wait for almost 1 hour for our turn! πŸ™ I managed to sing some songs and duet with Jimmy and Pazuzu. The microphone acted up when I sang the last song with Pazuzu. BOOOOooooOo~

That’s the problem when you don’t want to rent a room, what to do? Popwave is fully booked and all other places don’t provide room. When there are many people, you won’t have chance to sing at all! So I left at around 10.45pm. No point to wait anymore I had sang all the songs I wanted and there isn’t much choice there also. I’m not sure whether Galdiezz, Tim and his gang manage to sing any or not as Tim came quite late and Gladiezz didn’t manage to sing earlier as she was busy choosing her songs.

NO MORE! Don’t ask me to go to places with no room to sing karaoke! Wasting a lot of time unless there is only us.

This is also the first time I step into these places. Luckily only mild allergy because we were there early and not many people smoke though the smell is there. What to expect? These kind of places will always have cigarette smoke, it will never go away. They don’t install suction fan to suck the smoke out so it’s all second hand smoke circulating inside. Imagine that. SUXXXX!

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
