New DUN

Posted on July 26, 2009July 26, 2009 By sweet surrender 9 Comments on New DUN

Lately with the hoo ha going around in Kuching, I’m sure you all(those in Kuching) know what is going on. It’s such a big thing! The policemen are so hardworking for weeks just to make sure everything goes well tomorrow. We’ve been hearing sirens every few hours and every single day more than a week or so due to the police rehearsal and also due to the arrival of the VVIPs these days. Tomorrow is the big day.

The new DUN is opening tomorrow and there will be lots of events lining up at the city center. Major road blocks will be all over the city center too. How are people going to work like this? It’s not a public holiday summore.

The photos here showing the new DUN still under construction that were taken last year. We have new skyline for Kuching now.

Am I going to cover the event tomorrow? Nope! I’m not going to because I hate crowds! It will be extremely crowded!

Have “fun” or fun everyone!

Uniquely Kuching

The closure of roads is not solely because of the opening of the New DUN but because of the Persidangan Majlis Raja-raja.

And yeah, the Sultan of Johore is visiting UNIMAS today. :p

Pardon me, but am I the only one who thinks the architecture is ugly?

But then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

    cyril, hehehe… people accompany u mar… I don’t have.

tzywen, I heard there will be fireworks, river floats and regatta.

keeman, doesn’t matter, to me it’s the same thing, if not becoz o this these VVIs won’t be here anyway. I suspect they want to fast fast demolish the buildings a Gambier Street also because of this coz restoring it will take ages and demolishing is much faster.

annant, the architecture is pretty interesting but I won’t say its nice, just something different. We’ll see when the ceiling will start leaking water and so on ;p

Katherine-Lee, hehehe… yea… some say it’s nice , some say it’s not nice. All I know is the money is nice ;p

To me, the building is needless and a waste of money…

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
