Who Deserves It More?

Posted on May 4, 2007May 7, 2007 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on Who Deserves It More?

Update:

I was awakened by siren of a fire engine this morning, it’s rush hour around 8am, the fire engine was having difficulty trying to squeeze its way out.

Then, about 5 minutes later, my dad came back told us that my ex-classmate from secondary school staying at the next few shops away from us jumped from the third floor and miraculously still alive with leg injuries that were quite bad. Blood was everywhere because she tried to drag herself away from those that wanted to help her. She had nervous breakdown, she kept laughing and talking non sense. I had not seen her for quite sometimes even at her working place, she might be sick for quite sometimes already and today she did something unexpected. Heard that her husband has scratches on his face. I’m wondering what had caused her to have nervous breakdown. *Scary* Initially after she landed on the ground, her husband carried her into the car but who knows just few second after turning his back, she managed to get out of the car.

Her husband panicked until he forgot all about calling an ambulance with his mobile phone and asking those around where to get an ambulance. There is no way her husband can handle her alone, she’s hysterical and he’s panicking. Good thing that those “kuli keng”(labourers) working there helped immobilised her to avoid her hurting herself again while waiting for the ambulance. I think there should be people calling the ambulance on her husband behalf, who will just stand there and see and do nothing right? There are still people that care.

I didn’t see anything, that’s what my dad told us. I tried to peep from my room window but it’s too far to be seen.

It took quite a while for the ambulance to come since it’s rush hour. These two incidents this morning had given me the inspirations to write this post.

Imagine this…

You are driving halfway, suddenly you hear sirens from behind, then the traffic police will block the road to make way for the VVIP’s cars to pass tru’. If you are lucky to be at the same direction of the the VVIP, then you get the right of the way first if you’re at the traffic light. All vehicles from other sides will not be allowed to move even if the light is green.

OK… Back to my main point here. I’m sure many of us came across fire engine, ambulance or police during rush hour. It’s not easy for them to get tru’ right? They are so huge and jams have long queues of cars, even with the siren, it’s not enough. Those in front won’t know what happen at the back so it’s impossible for them to make way for them, when the front don’t make way, how are those behind going to make way? Imagine if it’s the VVIP on the way, they would definitely be given the right of the way no matter what by having the traffic police with their white huge motorbikes blocking traffics from everywhere to make way.

So… What do you think? Should the ambulance, fire engine or the police be escorted by the traffic police also and make way for them? This way they can get to the emergency scene faster than trying so hard to squeeze in between the queues. The VVIPs can get this kind of treatment, why can’t those ambulance, fire engine or police have it too? They need to save lives for heaven’s sake! Which is more important?

Think about it!

Those VVIPs digust me. They act more superior and arrogant and that is simply despicable. No choice, have to let them through if we don’t want to get into any trouble.

    Here’s the difference though:
With ambulance and fire engines, I will do so with pride.

With these VVIPs, I only do so out of disgust and loathing, with not an ounce of respect for these so-called leaders.

Speaking of VVIP, one group of them just passed by with a bunch of p****e. I think priority goes to the Ambulance or Fire truck. Sometimes I wonder what the p****e are for..

Only good at saman small fish, do so called road block to catch small fish again, but when got real problem come. They are the last to arrive.

There was once I made a police report, and I tell you these people really slack. They can’t understand much English so ended I go and and write the report myself. Like that never mind, when want to pay the officer told me only pay when I go collect the report after 3 working days. After 3 working days, when I go to the station to collect the report again they say haven’t done. Why? Because I didn’t pay them. I was like -_-” Then after I paid, ask when can finish say can collect tomorrow. I asked why don’t do it now since you all are very free watching tv, ask me to read the notice at the back stating that will take normally 7 working days to produce a report. And still got the guts to tell me saying we’re very nice to you already by tomorrow can collect.. -_-” Sigh..

When you see overseas police, you feel secure and you know they’ll help you. BUt here.. Let us best not say.

Alex, that’s what we called “cepat & mesra” or “cekap & mesra”? Hahaha… You are not the only, almost everyone encountered it at least once. Bad reputation *shake head*.

Hey, saw your update! Didn’t see the jumping girl story previously…

I can have a guess at what she’s going through. First she had depression… then she moved on to psychosis. Meaning she will do things without knowing why. Like a frightened animal, there is a “flight or fight” instinct and it got so powerful she lost control of herself and did those harmful things to herself. She definitely needs help. I can only wonder what is bothering her… her problems must be so bad and she hid it from family and friends and nobody wanted to help.

I’m taking an informed guess here… because I’ve recently went through 1/4 of what she went through…

Yeap, I update it later. I just got news that this is her second attack. She has this problem, they called it hysteria few years back. That time it’s controlable but what happened yesterday was much serious than the previous attack. Luckily the injuries weren’t serious. It seems like everyone staying nearby knows that she had this problem before but not us.

Wilson, nolar… Hysteria is a medical problem that is not very well understand yet. I think the thing that triggers it is due to stress and pressure.

Why do you want to dig that far?
