Imagine that we had to rush from Pending to 8th Mile in less than half hour beating the morning traffic at 8.30am. Madness! See the two gang of “paparazzies”! One is her uncle(white car) one is the hired videographers(dark green car). Can’t take clear photos of them coz they were all speeding. Besides, the car that I’m in has tinted windscreen. There were more than 5 cars(bridal car, entourage cars, some family members and videographer’s car) not sure the exact number but it’s more than 5). All on their hazard lights and weaving in and out of the traffic. So scary… I’m in one of the car also quite worried summore the road was slippery after the morning rain.
My camera battery started to show low battery indication while the groom picked the bride up. So fast… I just realised that for most of the time that I on my camera, it was in zoom mode, no wonder…
We were there for quite long. They fed each other rice dumplings, then we camwhored in her room, then little boys jumping on the bed, then her nephew was required to “break” the red paper that wrapped the potty with several type of nuts in there and then tea ceremony. After that camwhored again 😛
Next, she started to change to another dress to go back to the bride’s house. There were so many of us helping her dressed up. About 6 of us I think 😛 With her dress, her petticoat, her hair, the jewelries. She had to wear those jewelries given by her family and relatives to go back home. Had to becareful in choosing which to wear too as not to offend some relatives. You know how some relatives are so damn pain in the ass?!?!(You know, I know, we all have a fair share of them) Supposed to be going back to the bride’s house at 10.30am, due to some unforeseen circumstances, it was delayed till 12pm++. Therefore, we had our lunch at the groom’s house then set off to the bride’s house after that.
After she reached her house(this is when my battery was really dead when she went up the staircase), she greeted her family, relatives and some friends. The, off she went back to her husband’s house again.
That’s the end of the custom ceremony. This is the longest ceremony I ever experienced. Dinner post will come soon…
Heeeyyy…
wow, the wedding must have been a beautiful one…
Now i truly appreciate cameras that eats AA batteries…. once ur rechargeable ones died, can always find energizer or duracell at anywhere nearby, just in case there are shots not to be missed.
Hahahaha… 😛 One good point of using AA batteries.
but u say *CHEAP* leh… =_=”’
Aiyaaa… for it, it’s “cheap” la… But also got advantage lar, easy to find the battery coz u can bring many spares. However, If you can’t find any place to buy batteries also no use too. If just nearby got shop then good, if not like yesterday, my fren’s cam using AA battery died earlier than mine and had no time to buy at all.
