Metal Stealing Spree & Bush Fire

I’m going to report some news here hahaha… Pretty anti-climax one though… Anyway, it all happened within this 24 hours.

At 12am+, I heard some kling klang sound, I sensed something amiss, I immediately went to look out of the window and *CUSS* People stealling the drain covers!! DAMN IT! Saw them laughed and joked and even sang while carrying the covers to the nearby shop and took their sweet time chit chatting with their friends sitting nearby before carried the metals back to their nest, the house opposite the shop.

Wanted to call police to catch them red handedly but didn’t think it will be in time, the thieves would be gone by the time the police arrived. Sigh… Could only witness and couldn’t do anything.

Last Thursday, the drain cover next door was stolen, not in the middle of the night! It’s still very early like around 9 something. We didn’t know it until my dad got back from dinner. I HATE THESE PEOPLE! THEY SUCKS!

Right: After the first round of stealing, they did it again and stole another drain cover somewhere near my place too! They stole it and even laughed while carrying it. They really enjoy this “job”! This time my dad got so angry, he called up the police. As usual, the thieves would put it down and chit chat first before brought it back to their nest before the police came.

The four sitting there chit chatting, then there were 2 more but not there when I took this pic while waiting for the police to come. There were 6 but only four did the job, the two in black just watched.

GUESS WHAT!?!?! The police came and drove passed them -.-” My father called the police immediately to inform them they drove passed already. While still talking to them, the police finally reached the place after one big round.


They questioned them, one police officer called my dad saying that they didn’t see any stolen metal there -.-” OF COURSE LA! They already brought back to their nest. We roughly know where their nest were but the police had no right to raid the place as they need a warrant for it and it must be the exact place else it will cause a boo boo. My dad was told that they couldn’t do anything about it since there’s no evident there. If they got the evident, they would surely catch them but the police would take down the details of the thieves for record. Then another team of police came to see whether their colleague needed assistance or not. They took down the details of the four and asked them to go back. Sigh…

I don’t mean to blame the police for this, it’s all about luck and timing. They did come immediately but there is no evident to take action as the metal were took back to the thieves’ nest while my dad made the call to the police to report about it. There is no way also to raid their house.

My dad knows the house owner, it’s rented to those thieves. My dad had told the house owner about it and asked the owner to pretend to go there for some official matters but I’m not sure the owner did go to investigate or not. This is because if it’s confirmed the metals are there, the owner and us can go make a report and get the police to raid the place because my brother said that he saw many metals there everytime he got back from school. However, what we are afraid of is that, they might have sold everything already first thing this morning after the police “interviewed” them during that wee hour which was about almost 1am.

Guess what!??!?! I also got a news that the cars of the car workshop next door got its cars bonnets stolen also! All happend at the same time. Those suckers actually went on a stealing spree at this wee hour!! SUCKS! How to catch them like that?!?!? No evident really can’t do anything πŸ™

One more thing, the dogs were barking these few days and during the stealing spree but we didn’t see anything all these while until last night. However we didn’t expect the cars parked behind our shop got their bonnets stolen even though we heard dogs barking at the back also because we were too focus at the front. Those dogs are smart, they know who is bad and who is good but they didn’t attack them. How I wish those dogs can speak as they are the prime witnesses.

Next up, bush fire near Puspakom at Pending Height. Saw the fire at around almost 9pm. I called the bomba immediately. The phone rang, one very tired officer picked it up and I gave him all the details. After that, I tried to take photos from the kitchen but didn’t manage to get good shoots, couldn’t see much. Thought would be something big, that would be something exclusvie!! I immediately asked my dad to drive me over so that I could take pictures *LOL*


This is what I managed to get -.-” It’s not that big after all. It was pretty big at first but when we reached there, the flame wasn’t that big anymore and saw a guy trying to put out fire using buckets and buckets of water. I wonder where he got the water hahaha… He’s the owner of the car workshop nearby, he had to put out the fire else it might burn his workshop. He’s the only one putting out the fire.

The bomba didn’t come -.-” It’s only less than 10 minutes drive and we didn’t hear the bomba coming. I’m sure I’m not the only one called them. Goodness gracious! That poor guy had to put off the fire himself, no one helped, everyone just watched. I didn’t help too as I couldn’t do anything also but I called the bomba as soon as I got to know the fire.

CLARIFICATION 16th July 2008: Red blue light is from the Bomba. It’s not from the police. I’m sorry about that. I just had a meet with the bomba people just now and they had explained to me about it. They’re using the small fire engine, an Isuzu. Just that there’s no siren on. YES! The bomba came but the fire was already small or almost gone. It’s just timing problem, no one to blame. I really thank them for coming to make the clarification.

We went home and still no sign of bomba. Then my sis and mom saw a vehicle with red blue light arrived there, it’s the police! Not the bomba! That time the fire was quite small already. The guy managed to control it. At the end, still no bomba in sight. WOW! Amazing! Don’t think this is good. If not for that guy, I’m sure it would be worst!

Goosh… 26 years of my life, this is the 3rd time I called bomba -.-” Everytime by the time they arrived, fire got so small already except this time they didn’t come at all.

A very late update… LOL… Shock seeing the title? HAHAHA… Well… It’s inspired by today’s chit chat during our break time. πŸ˜› We were talking about some other stuff and it somehow reached this topic, oh well… What to do? We were all girls, there’s not even a single male student in our class.

Before we go further, just something to update about my camera, out of sudden the camera was fixed accidentally by my bro by zooming in and out few times yesterday. Sometimes the photos still ran out of focus but at least the lens could retract. Thought that it’s fine already but today I tried to play around with it, the same problem again. I tried the trick my bro used but this time, no effect. ARG!!! Should I buy a new one or bring it to be fixed first? NO! No DSLR for the time being, I’m not that desperate, I will get a DSLR eventually but NO MATTER WHAT a compact camera is still a must for me. Don’t worry about my fund spend on the compact digi cam, hahaha… I have extra to spare just that I still don’t want to spend that money yet hahaha…

Ok… Back to our topic. Since we are all girls and we hung out at the student lounge, we had some junk food and talked just about anything under the sun and I have totally no idea how they talked until childbirth *LOL* Besides that, there were 3 mothers in our group and the rest of us were childless. These are the quotes, in random order, I think it’s quite funny πŸ˜› If you guys are wondering what would girls talk about childbirth, these are usually what you will hear:

“AIYEEE… Next time I opt for cesarean.”

“My friend told me her experience, they inserted their hand to check her when she’s in labour, when I heard about it, I almost fainted. Whole hand inserted down there… She said very painful!”

“NO! Natural is the best!”

“No biggies one, natural is easy, just push!”

“You push push half heartedly sure cannot come out, sure more painful, you must push with all your might. No problem with me, all my 4 deliveries very smooth.”

“EEE… Imagine that big thing coming out from down there, the pain!! Later loose summore”

“Won’t loose one. It will close up and back to normal. Don’t tell me your husband ask you to open up your legs and check the measurement hahaha…” *Everyone laughed so hard*

“You know my time, my baby overdued, they had to induce me, and they checked my dilation for three times and still 1cm only. I couldn’t stand the pain when they inserted their hand in and I told them to cut me up. I saw the whole ceaserean process from the reflection from the lighting up there.”

“Listen to my advise, if you can, go natural.”

“After the cesarean, once the painkiller wore off, goodness… painful! Doctor said if I could walk around sooner, I would be able to be discharged sooner, I quickly walked around the hospital the next day because I wanted to go home a.s.a.p hahaha… Even pain I also didn’t care, I just want to go home!”

“If the baby too big, they will cut down there… EEE… Scary.”

“Don’t worry, it’s just small cut, you won’t feel it. It will heal faster than cesarean, just very small snip, not cut up the whole thing! Hahaha…”

So there you go πŸ˜› It’s quite funny hahaha… Might have more to share but we stopped when somebody said that the time was up because it’s time to go to back class.

Sue The Blogger?

I was in the middle of my class today and got two SMSes and miss call from my friend. I only managed to check them during the break. It happened that some company from Johor wanted to sue a blogger from Kuching who is now residing in KL because of a blog post that the blogger made months back. I cannot reveal the details on who they are for the time being.

It happened that the blogger blogged about a shop in Kuching that has several branches around Kuching and throughout Malaysia(if not mistaken) asking people to beware of them because of scam. OK… I read that post before and I definitely agree with it because the blogger is not the only one thinks so, I think so too as I personally came across them also but never got scammed because I never bother, so does other people that I know and I also heard people talking about it everywhere asking friends to beware of this company. HEY! We are not 1 year old kid OK?!?! Scam or no scam we know very well ourselves. We are the consumers and we have the responsibility to report something or let people know when something’s not right. They want the blogger to remove the post because it tarnished their image and resulting in loss. If the blogger doesn’t want to remove, then they will file a lawsuit. The problem is that it’s a real encounter else there won’t be story about it.

OH PLEASEEE!! EXCUSE ME! If you are so much of doing a legal business, you surely won’t be using measures or ways that make the consumer feel uncomfortable about the trustworthiness of your company. You should use a “proper” way to do business instead the way you choose are more of the “scammer” way. Blame yourself for using such technique!

Why I know about it? That’s because we are providing the platform for blogging for that blogger. They want to sue us if we don’t provide details of the blogger to them and we have the right of not disclosing the details after consulting a lawyer. SO what!??! Want to sue us too? Saying that we didn’t monitor the things that we host. You might as well sue Streamyx also since Streamyx was the one providing the Internet access to allow the blogger to update. Also since we are reseller only, you might as well go sue the provider of the server that provides the server to us because the provider didn’t check on contents that are hosted in the server.

ONE WORD… STUPID! On the other hand, I think that blogger would be really famous if the identity is leaked hahaha… Did a search on the topic, the blogger listed No.1 in Google for it!! No wonder they want to sue πŸ˜› Hahaha… For now, that’s all I can let you know. So? Think twice before blogging? Or next time, better don’t be so direct?

I hope this issue will solve soon -.-” All the best to the blogger. What do you think of this? Should the post be removed since it’s a real thing that happened? Should the blogger fight on?

Update: The company said that they will give one week grace period. If nothing is done, they will take legal action. However, according to the lawyer that we had consulted, we were told to wait for the legal letter. Guess what?!?!? They even contacted Yahoo and Google to remove the listing. To laugh or to cry?!?! Hmm…

07-07-08: The post is removed but I don’t think this will be the end of the case yet. We’ll wait and see.
